There is no present cure for fibromyalgia 😞so no painkillers in the world will help.On a pain ratio of 100 painkillers will only shave off between 10 n 15 % of the pain so the margin is very little indeed.

Even diazapam has very alittle affect if any.

Pain killers to fibromyalgia is like bows n arrows against the lightening in the sky 😔

Hi Fibro1966.This has been my experience but when you're desperate you'll try anything tho.

I'm desperate.

But I know the pain dipkin1962 is in and I can't offer anything but love and hugs 🙏. I am anxious for her .

I hope she has support. Dipkin1962... Be a pain in the but to your GP until they help you. Not that that works.

Continue screaming but best of all try to relax even if you can't sleep.

I want to scream for you I guess I will just cry for you.

Hugs sweetie Dawn 🤗🤗🤗🙃🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi,I had a similar thing a few years ago. I couldn't stand the pain so I went to A&E. They gave me morphine and referred me for an ultrasound scan which I had a couple of weeks later. Normal pain killers didn't touch it & I was constantly in tears or screaming! The ultrasound scan showed that I had bursitis in the shoulder joint. The radiographer said it was the worst inflammation he had seen in a shoulder joint. My Dr thought I may narrowing of the notch in the shoulder joint where the arm nerves pass through the shoulder area. This puts pressure on the nerve creating severe pain in the arm, shoulder and neck. Dr thought I might need surgery to release the pressure on the nerve. Fortunately the inflammation and bursitis settled down on its own (took a while) and so far it hasn't recurred.....I really don't want to go through that again! I have no idea what triggered it in the first place. The pain was way beyond the usual fibro aches & pains.

I hope your pain settles down. If it doesn't it may be worth asking your Dr for a scan.

Maybe it's a mystery virus which will work it's way out. Am sure there are some things going around plus it was coming up to full moon last week and it does have an effect on the body as well as on clams! - Hot bath with epsom salts/steam if you can get it.

I have something similar right now but it's from overdoing it in house and garden and the muscles and tendons are complaining because they were subjected to various awkward angles and other stress.

Dry needling has helped my normal cramps! Chiropractor? May try a quinine tablet once I have slept off the neurofen etc.- Seeing acupuncturist next week so in a pain tunnel but maybe light at end. I hope your horrible pain gets better soon. I think you're being very brave, but stay in bed if you can. Rest is probably best and watching something that makes you laugh. 🕊️

Doc thinks trapped nerve in neck/ shoulder. Waiting on physio appointment.....

Now on naproxen and my gabapentin up. to 600mg.

Pain subsiding and must admit sleeping better and feeling better than I have in years....don't know if being signed off work resting or meds !

A trapped nerve would do it. Hope you get some real relief soon. Yes, I think some proper rest/break from work helps. I think with fibro we tend to try and overcome it with extra effort especially fighting the intense discomfort of doing so and get even more overtired, then cannot get the rest we need. Hope you get your phys app soon.

Hi Dipkin1962🤗🤗🤗🤗😃 ,As A distraction it's great. But with me recently 👎.

You'd be better with a gentle massage or heat mat.

I hope you're ok sweetie.

I've had enough of today. Hugs sweetie Dawn 🤗🤗🤗🙃🤗🤗

Getting cervical x ray tomorrow Pain not excruciating now,but think naproxen and 900mg gabapentin helping.

Also been resting arm ,managing a wee stroll to get some fresh air and Vitamin D.

Having problems with skin I was referred to a brilliant dermatologist, she sent me for neck x ray ,showed wear and tear ,constant itch on back of neck ,her parting words were watch that neck now!!!
