Rampipril increase
I’ve been on 2.5 mg of Ramipril and doing well for 18 months. About a month ago my BP went up marginally to close to 145 + average. My doctor suggested I go up to 5mg. Since then my BP has been increasing steadily up to 160/80 average. I’m seeing my doc this week but wanted to know if anyone had experienced

On Ramipril 5 mg now
On Ramipril 5 mg only now; switched from Amlodopine 5mg and Ramipril 2.5 mg. Last lot of readings for the Amlodopine 5 and Ramipril 2.5 fluctuated but as low as 123/66 and high as 160/89. I get very anxious about BP. Do you think Ramipril solo is a good idea. Aged 72 male.

Nose bleeds
I had a heart attack in September and since then have an irritable right nostril which constantly runs and now bleeds slightly. I take 1.25mg bisoprolol, 12mg eplerenone, 2.5mg ramipril and 2 x 90mg brilique. Has any member experienced this side effect before and, if so, how did you resolve it. I

Misdiagnosed with COPD
Hi All Just want to say to anyone who has been told they have COPD after an X-ray please don’t stress or worry too soon as I did. The comments on my X-ray results were ‘Early signs of COPD.’ It was enough for me to think I had it because all my symptoms fit. I was told though that it could not be diagnosed

Losartan potassium 50mg.
This is my first time of posting on this forum, I would appreciate any replies. I have been taking 5mg Amlodipine for some time but am experiencing fluid retention and pain especially in legs and feet so my GP has now prescribed Losartan 50mg instead. I also have stage 3 kidney disease. 50mg seems

progressive increasing of diltiazem dosage
hello I will be put back on diltiazem XL soon (not my favourite, I felt generally ill with no effect on chest pain and made my HBP uncontrolled as in higher) and I assume off amlodipine. This is to bring rate down to 60 and progressive levels will be tried until they work or not. I am committed

AF and now coronary artery disease at 47. I recently had a CT angiogram and the results aren’t great. Back to being scared and worried.
So I first came on this forum with my Afib diagnosis and was terrified and depressed about the diagnosis and medications. I had good news from my echocardiogram as I had no damage at all. The last hurdle was a CT angiogram sadly I’ve not made it so well past this hurdle. I’m absolutely gutted to be honest

Newbie looking for info
Hi got irregular heartbeat and about 8 weeks ago was put on bisoprolol and rivaroxaban. Palpitations settled down and I felt a lot better. Went back to see consultant who said my blood pressure was still a bit high and put me on ramipril. This started the palpitations again so GP changed me to candestartan.Still

Amlodipine?
We've read here that Amlodipine could worsen RLS symptoms. I can't find references to trusted sources, i.e. Mayo Clinic, Dr. Buchfuhrer, etc. Will someone post a link for me? I am hoping to convince my husband's doctor to change his prescription away from calcium channel blockers. Thanks so much!

Reduced ramipril
My BP dropped like yours on 2.5mg and my consultant reduced my ramipril to 1.25mg once a day. My BP measured just before my cardio rehab exercise class is around 130/80 HR 80. This is not considered to be of concern and I am living with it. Hope this helps

Afib breathlessness
Firstly, sorry, I don`t know how to add to an old post so started this. To try and keep it short I had a cardioversion for Afib which worked for a few weeks. I was later put on bisoprolol which I really struggled to walk any distance and upstairs (Asthmatic). Many kind people on here gave me good

Anyone with gastroparesis?
Hi all. I have gastroparesis (slow emptying of the stomach). This started when I went into failure in fall 2021, and just after my first and only bout of diverticulitis. I am now even wondering if what I had was that. Anyway, I received a kidney transplant in August 2022 and am doing well except for

Constipation
Hi, it's been 6 weeks after my heart attack, and having 4 stents inserted. I am currently on Aspirin, Atorvastatin, Lansoprazole, Prasugrel, Ramipril, Melatonin, Tildiem and Diltiazem. I am experiencing severe constipation, despite taking multiple laxative drinks. Is this a normal side effect & if

Bleeding gums and aspirin (after scale and polish)
On Thursday I had a scale and polish, and have since found one particular part of my gums bleeding continiously. I have been partly assured by finding evidence on another health forum that this is fairly normal with a deep clean. However, I'm concerned that with aspirin it's might be an issue. Basically

Monster Returns
Without provocation (no triggers), I startled awake in Afib which turned into tachycardia and has continued for 48 hours now. So after a respite of nine months from my FOURTH ablation [& coming off flecainide (due to left bundle block), but still on metoprolol ER, amlodipine, and Xarelto], I’m beginning
