On Ramipril 5 mg now

On Ramipril 5 mg only now; switched from Amlodopine 5mg and Ramipril 2.5 mg. Last lot of readings for the Amlodopine 5 and Ramipril 2.5 fluctuated but as low as 123/66 and high as 160/89. I get very anxious about BP. Do you think Ramipril solo is a good idea. Aged 72 male.

don’t see why not but I’m not a health professional. Speak to your pharmacist.

ramipril is seen as cardio protective so a small dose should be ok. Keep an eye on your B/P and u will soon know if it is effective. When taking B/P relax, take 3 at 5 mins intervals, lots of info online on how to do this. 🍀 u are on the right forum for support. Happyrose has given good advice.

having been on ramipril for a few years I can happily say it’s the best one I have been on with thankfully no side effects … not even the cough!
