GP insisting on using CRP & ESR as inflammatory markers...and managing to get a creatine kinase blood test ordered...legs are still an issue
I do have OA but also inflammatory arthritis with lupus, bursitis etc, plantar
fasciitis
. But on and off this year, in cycles I have had issues standing up - getting up from seated. It's not my knees and it's not my hips. It's muscular...I think.

Knowing when NOT to run !
managed to loose 7kg (15.4lbs) This is already having an effect on my fitness, I am now walking at the same or similar perceived exertion but my HR is lower (this is way below the level that the beta blockers would limit my HR) It's has also (quite obviously really) had a positive effect on the Plantar

Plantar
Fasciitis
!!! I had suffered with this before I started C25k , so more than 3 years ago now and it eventually just disappeared. This time it came on after my 3rd 45 minute walk and was really quite painful, so that stopped my walking !

Rehab ramblings and thoughts.
I got to the stage where I had done 4 or 5 40 minute walks when I was thrown off track with a bout of plantar
Fasciitis
(I have had this before, several years ago). So after missing a couple of days I then decided to go for a bike ride instead . On the day this felt fine, although a little wobbly.

Seeking advice on test results, Metavive and suggested next steps
My feet still really hurt, especially on waking, and Iāve read on here that plantar
fasciitis
is strongly linked to hypothyroidism. Iām now gluten free, which has also helped, plus Iām working on optimising vitamins.Ā

Pains, stiffness, insomnia, IBS- Fibromyalgia?
In the morning Iām stiff as a board, I have plantar
fasciitis
in my left foot. I also seize up if I sit a long time. I have migraines. I have reactions to every medication I have been prescribed recently for my COPD. I regularly have nausea. I wake all night and then am tired all day.

Avioding Coming a cropper when we are trying to regain a level of fitness
I had plantar
fasciitis
and all sorts of aches and pains before getting to my therapeutic dose. So once these left me, I think I got a false sense of my own fitness, but I hadn't factored in the general deterioration of my muscle tone.

CATCH-up-CORNER... The Last Few Days of APRIL...Slip off the running shoes and just sit down...
There could be little tell tale signs that could help us...for example; It maybe easier to take those extra days if we have a physical problem...an injury or an illness; twinging muscles, aching legs, plantar
fasciitis
, runner's knee... all this kind of thing, that crop up in lots of our running posts

Off topic - Need new slippers for your RA ravaged feet?
Also recommended by many who have plantar
fasciitis
. Their shoes are also excellent - I've several pairs! My favourite style is the Gemma and I've just ordered my third pair! Each pair has lasted me nearly two years.

These include meningitis, scarlet fever, toxic shock syndrome, and a flesh-eating disease called necrotizing
fasciitis
. These can cause serious illness and even death.

Week 9 run 3 completed today!
However, I still ended up with achilles tendonitis and plantar
fasciitis
. I got myself some orthotics and a good pair of trainers, iced and stretched regularly and finally the pain was gone. In early October I turned on the TV and it was the day of the London Marathon.

Back to C25K....
I got to W9R2 but got this plantar
fasciitis
issue and a pain in my left leg. So quit to heal that which both did after about 3 months. Then you know how it goes, days into weeks, weeks into months. I got lazy again.

ļ»æSo frustrated!
ļ»æI cannot believe it that I now have an injury on my foot, I suspect plantar
fasciitis
. I am so close to graduating, about to start week 9 and now this happens. It's made me feel so frustrated! Any tips to help it get better would be gratefully received.

Plantar Fasciitis
Any tips for getting rid of Plantar
Fasciitis
(a painful heel)? I have had it since September 21, probably caused by digging in inappropriate footwear, and although it's slowly getting better, it ain't gone yet. My previous bout 30 years ago took six months before I hardly noticed it.
