Well I am back I am 3 years older and had a 2 year lay off due to the dreaded lurgy and having plantar fasciitis which was not nice. I am working towards the park runs again as I enjoyed them but at 69 it’s taking a little longer to get into it as I did the first time around as the added incentive is my son in law is starting to run and I will not be left behind. I got myself some new pair of brooks trainers so another incentive to get off the couch. I am on week 3 day one tomorrow so we will see how it goes.
I am back: Well I am back I am 3 years older and... - Couch to 5K
I am back

Welcome back to the forum and well done on your progress.
Don't try to keep up with your son........it might get you to the injury couch quicker than you hoped.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.

Well done on restarting. It's so hard after that nasty little virus, you might have to take it slower than you think. Just listen to your body and take as long as you need, and slow down if you're struggling. You can do it.

Well done 👍 Great you are getting out there. I'm still nursing a bad back I have had for a week nowI. I am very envious of all you runners posting your successes. My husband tested positive to covid on Friday, so I am practically waiting to be struck down by the dreaded virus too.
The positive being I may as well get covid now as I'm grounded with my back anyway. 🥵
Happy Running to you 🙂

Sounds great! You have many reasons to run and you will feel great after a run 🏃. I'm recovering from an injury so I'm taking it slow. No need to hurry, running is a long term hobby 😊
