Well... the dearth of Critters on my last walk was more than made up for yesterday! Another absolutely glorious day, and a short but sweet run was undertaken before the heat set in. Breakfast eaten... an al fresco picnic packed for the back pack... ice pack included... Check list for Mr OF... walking

Variable Asthma and pain medication.
Good day to everyone, I hope you are all taking good care, especially with the warm weather! I would like to ask people from the community about pain medication and Asthma. I have a variable asthma of 5%, diagnosed at the same time as copd. 6 weeks ago I ended up in A&E with severe pain in my leg

Post Menopausal Fibroids
I am 62 and have been diagnosed with fibroids as a result of CT and US scans. Pelvic pain is constant, often severe. My HRT has been switched to Tibolone which I am told will not ‘feed’ the fibroids. I am waiting for an NHS gynae referral appointment which will not be anytime soon as there is a huge

Constant Pain
Hi there. My name is Paul and I'm new to the forum. I've been struggling with pain for many years now which was mainly lower back related and according to MRI scans was down to wear and tear/disc degeneration. Since my first MRI in 2006 I've had several more scans and the pain has gradually become

Smile once more, turn thy wheel (King Lear 2:2)
I'll not bore you with the complicated logistics of getting to and from a linear event, other than to say the addition of bicycles adds to the levels of stress and frustration. That said Mr Shakes and I arrived at Clapham Common in time for our 7.30am start of the BHF London to Brighton Cycle Event.

Muscle relaxants + painkillers ?
Dentist suggested SSRI (antidepressants) to relax jaw muscles and just wondered if this is something anyone has tried (or any other type of muscle relaxant) perhaps in conjunction with painkillers. These steroids are slowing killing me - all that has happened is life debilitating symptoms are being

b12 loading dose pain
hi, I’ve on my 5th loading dose of b12, and I have really bad nerve pain in my hands and feet, I’m really struggling with the pain, I’m on 3 pain killers and now sleeping tablets. The pain seems to have got worse since starting the loading doses, had anyone else had this? I’ve asked doctors but they

Post double ankle sprain rehab
Hi all, I managed to sprain both ankles, falling off a high curb, but at the beginning of a 450km cycle tour. Although I could not walk well, I could cycle with discomfort only under exertion. Given that I had was committed to the tour, I continued with pain-killers, an ankle support for the most affected

More drugs!
Some of you will know we moved from Cornwall to the Bristol area which obviously meant registering with a new doctors surgery. I’ve been about three times and you can never see the same doctor even though they say make an appointment to see me after your blood test. Anyway the last time I went was partly

Week 7 Run 2
Week 7 run 2, Along the canal, and fairly flat, up quite early to run before it got too hot, but already weather station showing 19 degrees, at least the canal is quite sheltered. Managed to increase distance by about 100meters, not a lot but considering I forgot to take painkillers for stump beforehand

Zoladex and HRT
I was diagnosed with endo in 2021, it was removed from my abdominal wall but my pain never fully left. Just 4 months later my symptoms returned and the pain was as bad as it was pre-op. Here I am, 19 months later in significant daily pain. I am signed off sick from work for the 3rd week, and it seems
