Week 7 run 2, Along the canal, and fairly flat, up quite early to run before it got too hot, but already weather station showing 19 degrees, at least the canal is quite sheltered. Managed to increase distance by about 100meters, not a lot but considering I forgot to take painkillers for stump beforehand, I'll take that as winning at life, I managed 3.84 km, now that is the most distance I have covered without having to stop due to pain, either walking or jogging, it was rather uncomfortable at the end but if life had depended on it I could have carried on walking.Good run now for a mug of good old Yorkshire tea and a Banana.

Week 7 Run 2
Well done Petem56 on completing run 2 of week 7 along the canal, that's your 3rd 25 minute run, good run in 19C temperature before it gets very warm later in the day, only 7 more runs until you graduate.
Love the photo!! Glad you didn’t experience too much discomfort! 🎉 Excellent distance ! Amazing what Yorkshire tea guts and determination does!!! Well done!
Wow well done! Thank you for sharing! Good idea to look at the distance as well as the minutes! Like running almost 4km sounds really substantial! No problem if the car doesn't start or the bus is cancelled, if push come to shove... We can run! 🥇
This is a great read. Those little victories where you hit a new milestone are so sweet. Keep winning at life! ❤️🏃♀️💪
Huge well done you and a lovely location...you are doing so, so well...doing well without pain killers too!
Tea and a banana ??? I used to have banana dipped in Lucozade, many, many years ago! Delish! x
You’re tougher than I am Pete.. if it hurts I won’t do it, especially if it hurts enough to need a painkiller.. no way.. you are hardcore. 🏃🏆
But slowly I'm increasing stumps pain threshold, you must remember that you have had a lot longer then me to get used to it than I have, and like I told you, I'm too daft to know I can't 🤓.
Maybe you’re right.. I’ve certainly had longer to get used to wearing a prosthetic leg.. and I don’t know what sort of pain you are having obviously. But my reaction to pain is to stop whatever is causing it and ask a professional for help to avoid it in future.. I really hope you can get a better prosthetic sorted soon. Meanwhile, you are doing amazingly well, and I suspect sheer bloody mindedness will get you to week 9 run 3 👍😂
