When I have a strong headache, I take Excedrin Migraine. Sometimes, I take Aleve, but, it doesn't work as well as Excedrin. It really depends how often you need to take the headache medicine. If it is once in a while, you can take anything that works for you. If you suffer from chronic headaches, you should discuss it with your doctor. Tylenol is considered easier on the stomach, than other pain killers, if it works for you.

They usually say Tylenol but it depends on where you are in your journey, so always best to discuss with your dr. Personally tylenol does nothing for me.

I suffer from headaches, since diagnosis of pbc, I rarely take any pain relief. If my headache is bad I take Tylenol. No more than 6 per day, per my hepatologist. In 3 years I have maybe taken 20 Tylenol. Most was when I had Covid and the headache was very painful.

I am too scared to damage my liver, so I go without… if I take any I start with one just to see if I get relief…I tend to err on the side of caution… crazy probably.

I was told years ago not to take any pain relievers containing acetaminophen but my present hepatologist doesn't agree with that. She says I can take acetaminophen for a short period of time.
