Increasing bone density with exercise as protein
An interesting study, that showed a significant increase in bone mass in 3 months as a result of regular
exercise
including resistance training.

Unstable Angina - Carotid ultrasound scan?
I can't find the answer, but wouldn't
any
angina due to atherosclerosis show up during
hard
exercise
first? So I'd like to know the state of my arteries, which I don't think the tests I've had would definitely show. I'm looking at more affordable same-day tests.

Post stents follow up
I’ve kept active walking though and am using an
exercise
bike. I’m still 2 stone lighter than I was when I had the op and a trouser size down. Is there meant to be any annual check up? I submit my BP readings every 6 months and that and my HbAc1 are both good.

Exercise makes my AF worse (part 2)
Hi all, I posted a couple of days ago mentioning how I felt worse after
exercise
- felt like the slightest stroll strained my heart. Well it got worse! I had a bad night. AF kicked off around 1am as usual so had the Flec PIP, fell asleep and woke up with tachycardia and cold sweats at 5am.

protein supplements: yes or no?
Since I just finished Viewray Tx at UCLA, I’m moving on to the diet &
exercise
research zone. I’d like input on what the latest research, if any, is RE protein supplements. Whey isolate vs. vegan protein supp? Does either one promote or suppress PCa after Tx? Also, what’s the latest on eggs?

I am back up to full speed and able to
exercise
without problems. That is all for now. A few more interesting health learning opportunities and on the whole success managing the PV and other health conditions. I am blessed to have an excellent care team to help manage everything.

Beginning The journey, not quite sure why
I did smoke but gave up 35 years ago, I don’t drink, I do some but not enough
exercise
(walk the GSD). I do however have a high fat diet however each year I have my cholesterol tested and it’s 2.8. BP is 120/60 which I have always monitored by cuff and watch.

Feeling really lost
After managing to lose weight doing keto, after years of excessive
exercise
, seeing the scale rise so rapidly every day and feeling so powerless in stopping it, was so heartbreaking.

Scared and Frustrated
I know i have good things in my corner- no family history, no alcohol or tobacco use, decent diet and
exercise
. But i know that truly doesn't mean much in bigger scheme.

My attempts at managing SCA3
The aim I am trying to achieve is to ensure the muscles do not atrophy due to lack of
exercise
and to allow the nerves to control the muscles for better control for balance and walking.

Rheumatologist response
My own attempts - diet,
exercise
, lots of water, Tylenol Arthritis... - have not been successful lately.I like her. I drive 2 1/2 hours to see her because my local rheumatologist was...let's just say "not good." Opinions?

Starting the Journey to Lose 10-15 Pounds.
Today, to help burn additional calories while at work for my usual 9.5-10 hours, I plan to engage in N.E.A.T (Non-Activity
Exercise
Thermogenis) such as fidgeting while seated and standing, continuing my frequent bathroom trips, etc., to help burn some additional calories throughout the day.
