Since I just finished Viewray Tx at UCLA, I’m moving on to the diet & exercise research zone. I’d like input on what the latest research, if any, is RE protein supplements. Whey isolate vs. vegan protein supp? Does either one promote or suppress PCa after Tx?
Also, what’s the latest on eggs? It seems choline in eggs means they’re out as a protein source. But can egg whites be an option?
thanks in advance

Research on eggs and casein is very low quality. Mostly observational. But if you want to stay away from whole eggs, egg whites aren't implicated (and by the nature of correlation of the observational studies, if an egg white observational study is ever done it would likely "prove" a benefit).
Vegan protein is a mixed bag. Very often high in heavy metals. This is lab verified.
Organic and Veg for me, veg proteins seem to be better (I must look for the two studies I have found)...BUT I think they were talking about whole food...when it comes to supplements I am not sure it makes much difference.
I have not come across any info regarding protein supplements (of any type) promoting or suppressing PC. I choose whey protein isolate since it offers 90% protein and all the essential amino acids compared to plant protein supplements.
It’s important to take in additional protein if you cut out the red meats and cured meats and are trying to gain muscle.I have had very good results with my diet and exercise program:
