Surprise at GP
had an appt this morning about gut/urgency issues and finally got round to asking what my very first TSH reading was, in August 2021, 3 months post hip replacement surgery. My understanding was that I was borderline - I didn’t even know what that was! I was retested six weeks later and a bit higher,

Help! cascade of hormonal events after Covid booster! Not sure where to turn next…
Hi everyone I started having menopausal symptoms when I was 47. As I had the merino coil I was just given a 50mg oestrogen patch which worked wonders and got rid of the hot sweats. All was running smoothly until about a year later when I started getting hot flashes and itchy skin. Went up to 75 patch

Pain Relief
I have posted before regarding Scleroderma and Raynauds and the problems which relate to this. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and they are so very painful. I was coping with the help of steroid injections, paracetamol and Ibuprofen however steroid injections are now limited with less relief and

Medical Cannabis?
Has anyone tried medical cannabis for pain relief? I have severe arthritis which limits my life quite a lot, my doctor won’t refer me for knee replacement until I lose more weight, and being on Rux has meant more weight gain! Obviously will need to ask haematologist about. It is quite expensive and

HRT and Lupus

hi there, Sorry not strictly thyroid related but I trust you symptom sharing lot so I hope you don’t mind. Having sorted my thyroid replacement I can now see I have some perimenopausal symptoms. The Menopause specialist at GP is reluctant to prescribe Lenzetto & Urtogestan until I have the all clear

What is my ideal body weight supposed to be for 5ft 1"? I asked the doctor and she didn't know the answer.
Does anyone know what body weight I should be at if I'm looking to get there? I am 5'1"... I asked a couple days ago at the gynecologist office and she didn't know the answer. She told me just to Google it but when I did I find all sorts of different answers. I'm looking for the weight that I should

Does anyone know what BMI you need to get to for your body to start producing estrogen again? And also to get your periods back? I was born with a buscupid aortic valve with no issues it was all monitored for years and i am now 51. However I’ve recently been diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. First appointment with nhs Rheumy
Hi, I had my first nhs appointment with the Rheumy who is based at the same health centre as the one I have seen privately. He did say to me that he was aware that I had seen one, I had already had my bloods done prior to the appointment. He said my RF was 170 which is high, he gave me two booklets

HRT question. Sorry, totally off topic but I need an answer quickly!
Oh cripes! I started HRT 8 days ago. (Estrogen patches and utrogestan). I'm on cycle day 21 and I've started my period this evening. What do I do now?! Do I carry on taking utrogestan until I've completed 2 weeks?
