Has any sustained vtach/cardiac arrest survivor successful at getting off meds?
About 1 month ago, I found your forum. That put an end to my afib episodes getting more frequent. I got the book the Afib cure. I changed my diet, I not only sleep better, my frequent trips to the bathroom (following colon cancer 8 years ago,) stopped! I am 57 years old, very active with a 40 resting

Plavix and ITP
I was diagnosed with ITP a month ago. Platelets of 1. I was on Plavix and baby aspirin along with Zoloft. Was anyone on the same or similar medications when diagnosed. Initially my Dr thought the medication caused the low platelets. I have been off them for a month though and at this point it seems

Angiogram at last!
Since being diagnosed (over the phone!) with suspected angina last November I've been waiting for an angiogram appointment, that day is nearly here! I go in on Monday and am feeling more than a little anxious! I know a lot of people here have had at least 1 and I shouldn't worry so much but my stomach

Starting on Pegasys
Went to MPN specialist yesterday and had my first shot of Peg - starting on 90mg/week (I was on 1,500mg daily of Hydroxy). For the time being he is also keeping me on 1,000mg of HU which after my next blood draw we will either drop to 500mg or eliminate completely...of course continuing on baby aspirin

A compound isolated from chaga protected brain cells from Parkinson’s disease

Just when you thought CLL was enough to deal with! advice on BTK inhibitors and Heart Attack Meds interactions?
Since my last post, informing that I had come out of a 4 year remission, after FCR, I have been monitored for my ALC and lymph node enlargement. After 6 months my ALC had reached 24 and some spleen and node enlargement . My Haematology team suggested I would not need treatment this year. However,

Rash on legs, spreading to
I'm on Ramipril, Atorvastatin, esomprazole and 75mg aspirin. I've been taking these for 18 months since my MI. I stopped taking ticagrelor after 12 months. Anyway, 6 days ago, I started to get a rash on my legs which has gotten worse and worse and is now spreading to my belly. It's really itchy/uncomfortable

Things are settling down...
Morning all, after over four months of seeing various specialists talking to my GP (note not face to face because of Covid) and ten visits to A&E the medicos seem to have agreed what is the problem. The original angina diagnosis was shown to be false as a later CTCA scan showed my arteries were pretty

Can anyone please reassure me?
I am sure there will be many of you good people who have been prescribed this aspirin. I have been prescribed this but am nervous of any side effects, even though I probably have no option but to bite the bullet so to speak, having been diagnosed with sticky heart valve and various blockages. Any response

Was wandering how you find out what stage your MF is
I have been asked this question but never been told , sorry if it is a dumb question! I would think I am probably at early stages as there has been no urgency to start me on any medication for my secondary myelofibrosis still just aspirin at the moment . Thanks in advance for any answers x

Hello Everyone Last month I had shared the details about my father's rising psa which had shot up from 73 to >1000 in a span of one month. It turned out to be a lab error, rather a really stupid lab error. His recent bloodwork shows a Psa of 109.Although it is still on rise, it is still better than a
