Platelets results

Hi had my appointment over the phone with haematology my platelets number count gone up slightly from 615 to 701 talk to see how a was going if got any symptoms which I explain that I've seen doctors has I keep going fuzzy lightheaded and aches pains on my back my hips and knee and get little pains come and go for few seconds, doctor says my fuzzy lightheaded could be cos she check my ears they are badley block both ears soon has I get ear sypringe if lightheaded goes afterwards then we know cos my ears was block but if still there then well have a talk with haematology ,doctors did some different bloods and refer me afterwards to orthopedics think he said to check me out with pains in my body see if all goes okays ,still on 75mg aspirin a day hope everyone all is well,next check up in 3 months. Xx

It certainly makes sense that blocked ears (perhaps a low grade ear infection) could impact balance. The cochlea are quite sensitive to that sort of thing. If the issues is not balance, then there are other things that can cause lightheadedness, including medications and other conditions (including the thrombocytosis itself).

Regarding the other aches and pains, MPNs are inflammatory disorders. We tend to have a lot of inflammation-related symptoms. It is why controlling systemic inflammation is so important. Most MPN Specialists understand this, but many other docs (even hematologists) do not. One part of why it is so important to consult with a MPN Specialist.

Thankyou for getting back intouch with this information hunter is very helpful,I also have arthritis in my knee also suffered from gout and osteoporosis in my left foot but now am getting quite alot of like hip pains feels like more like a pulling kind of sensation in my both hips,and back pain ,then I get like little shooting pains which hurt comes on my hands and feet but not all the time just ever so often some days are worser then many but thankyou,am using ears drops at moment tell I get to know when they can clean my ears out since I've been on waiting list since January but said started doing again do am still waiting hopefully not be waiting much longer this time round Xx

Well receptionist rang me from my doctors today and book me in with the doctor on the 10th of June to discuss the other blood tests I had done didn't which ones I had done so am thinking could be inflammation or something like that due to aches and pains has I am guessing but il let u know the outcome when see the doctors on the 10th Xxx

Glad to hear that your ears are being sorted. I was lightheaded but reducing my anagrelide by 1 a week made a huge difference. Good luck

Am glad your lightheaded getting better mine still quite bad but going for my ears done Friday morning so hopefully il feeling better,then receptionist rang me this morning to change date now from 10th of June to this Tuesday because said got anti something carnt remember what she said but she doesn't know if its to do with my bloods then said doctors needs to discuss my other bloods results and to refer me so am not being mess about seeing 2 different doctors ,has supposed it does make sense Xx
