On first cycle of IVF, having had egg collection and fresh embryo transfer in October 2018. I have been on Suprecur for a couple of weeks and just started Elleste Solo. Double embryo transfer is scheduled for 7th March; I'm told it is very rare for the date to be moved so have just booked the time off work. Anyone else having embryo transfer on 7th March? It would be great to find some transfer buddies to chat to along the way as I am sure the two week wait is going to be awful this time!
Thanks

Hey hun I'm due for my FET 4th March 😊 this is my 3rd transfer but my first FET other 2 were fresh. I'm only taking prognyova then the progesterone pessaries a few days before transfer. How are you feeling? These prognyova pills have not been agreeing with me been feeling so nauseous and headaches 🤢 but starting to feel better thank gosh! So I am a few days ahead of you....but we may be testing on the same day even...(all going well of course) I am in New Zealand and we get a blood test at 9dp5dt and I think you ladies in the UK get tested 11 or 12 days?! So yes could quite possibly be testing same day! Eeek. Fingers crossed for a BFP for both of us!!! 🤞🙏🤞🙏💕 xx
I think the pills are making me feel a bit sick, but then it could be unrelated as my partner was barfing his guts up yesterday! I don't know the exact test date, last time it was 10 days after embryo transfer, but the embryo transfer was a couple of days later than planned as they let them all grow to 5 day blastocysts. Are you having single or double? I am kind of worried whatever the outcome - twins would be great but also a challenge, on the other hand if neither of them work I have to have surgery to remove this big fibroid. Actually whatever happens I'll be spending some time in hospital and several weeks recovering at home, lol! Yes let's hope for the positives!!
Yeah I'm not a fan of these pills at all! Give me the needles and stim meds anyday over this! But luckily I've been able to eat the past 2 days, the nausea seems to just come in waves now not constant like it was.
I'm only having 1 transferred. I do have 2 embryos but because its funded (NHS in the uk) I am only allowed to transfer 1 even though I've got 2 failures under my belt now. As they say the risk of twins on the mother and babies (and the cost on the health system in fine print lol) is too high. But to be honest I think I would prefer 1 at a time, as yes their is a high risk when carrying twins and possible complications. Plus I like the fact of knowing I have 2 chances not just 1. Because if neither of these work that's the end of the road for us unfortunately 😞 oh sorry youve got that fibroid did they not want to take it out first? Oh yes BFP for us please!!! 🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞 xxx
Yes the meds are strange aren't they! Still feeling a bit woozy. I was at high risk of OHSS with the Menopur though so I am quite glad not to have that this time around.
Basically my consultant offered me two options: fibroid removed or double embryo transfer with fibroid removed later if the embryos don't work. Having had keyhole surgery for ectopic a couple of years back, I know the recovery from fibroid removal will be horrible and I'd rather have the surgery in the summer when my partner is off work and can help me out of bed etc.! My consultant was fine with that fortunately. I am NHS funded in the UK as well but I think they have offered this cos of my age (and the cost of five separate FETs perhaps, if we are being cynical about NHS funding! Lol xx)
Morning,I'm having a FET on 1st March, well if all goes to plan, had a bit of a bleed today.
We will be over lapping on the 2ww,be great to chat along 👍xx
I'm not too bad thankyou, had my lining scan a couple of days ago and it was 9mm so a big relief after signs of bleeding the weekend, going for my Intralipid this morning which will take between 2-3 hours so really hoping that will make a difference.
Oh that's good, I had my scan on Thurs and it was 8.7 so all going well. It turns out I had the vomiting bug (could not eat or even keep a drink down for 36 hours). I was worried the tablets would all come up too but it seems not. I still feel queasy but hopefully it's back to the expected side effects now!
Also, I am keeping in close touch with my friend who is due to sprog in about 10 weeks. She has been sick the whole way through so I have resolved not to moan
That's great news about your lining, it's always a big relief to get through that stage I think!
I'm ok thanks, transfer all went well on Friday and just got back home after a long day of travelling, have been really positive until this eve then it hit me that I've got the 2ww to deal with again now!! Xx
Good stuff The wait seems to do people's heads in, mine included - I have decided just to take transfer day off and do normal things and go to work and stuff. Everything crossed for you xx
