UTI and microscopic haematuria
After years of recurring uti and a diagnosis of cystitis cystica after camera jobby I was prescribed vagifem. This worked for 7 years until mother of infection which took 2 lots of antibiotics to subside, and has left me with microscopic haematuria. Don't want further tests, has anyone else experienced

Running and Long Covid
When we went into the first lockdown, I was already ill in bed with Covid. It totally knocked me for six. I was ill for a month. Okay for a few days. Ill for a couple of weeks. Okay for a week. And then it really began. It developed into pneumonia that took some shifting. When I finally got out of bed

I am so upset and don’t know where to go from here…
I went to the doctors with 3 months of pain while going for a pee, I have been on two antibiotics and none have worked. So, I made an appointment with the doctor to speak about what to do to help with the pain and find out why it was happening, or so I thought. I went in and her answer was go on the

Eugenol
I just happened to come across some information relating to cirrhosis. It is called eugenol and it comes from cloves. The NIH as recently as 2021 has done studies and as far as I can tell it is helping the liver to heal. I am not a scientist so the big scientific words are beyond me so I am not sure

Besremi and vaccines
Hi, I need to get a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough) vaccine as my daughter just had a baby. To date, I've had no issues with many COVID vaccines, the flu or shingles, but EPGuy mentioned a concern with Besremi and the flu vaccine and his reaction. Anyone had any issues with vaccines

cellulitis again….
Ugh! Woke up at 5am bank holiday weekend and realised I have cellulitis… No GP cover so 40 minutes holding for NHS 111 and now on 2 hour wait for GP call back to get some antibiotics. Why does it always turn up at the most inconvenient time? Tried to explain to the call handler that, although I can

Can emotional distress cause problems?
I added T3 to my Levo a few months ago and all seemed to be going well. How ever on two occasions since then I’ve received some bad news about sudden deaths of people I know ( one a very close aunt). Now I know I have PTSD so that is an added issue , but I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus! I mean I feel

Medically induced zombie looking for help!
Is anyone else on Pregabalin and if so, how do you cope with 'zombiefying' side effects? I spend most of my working day on a computer and sometimes I feel like I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm also on Celecoxib and Topiramate.

Problematic mucous & dry cough ..
Hello, Dad's cough is now pretty mucousy, and dry at the same time. Both are frustrating/aggravating for him, in different ways. For the mucous part - we try to do some mild chest tapping to encourage it out & I know that drinking good amounts of water is good for that too. Any

Intrinsic factor antibody result
Hi all, I've only just seen the result of an Intrinsic Factor Antibody test that was done in December before I started SI which I don't know how to interpret. I got a result of 2 u/ml (reference range is 0-24 u/ml). Is that a positive or a negative result? Does that confirm PA or not? Can someone explain

Cold water!
I went swimming for the first time yesterday since my diagnosis of PAF 18 months ago. I'm on holiday in France at the moment. It was an outdoor pool and it's hot here so the water felt really cold. I went in waist deep and then ducked under. I swam for a few metres then realised I was in AF. I guess

7 Covid vaccinations
Hello, I just can’t get over it that some of you had 7 COVID vaccinations! I know only about the first 2 and then 2 (maybe 3) boosters = 5 vaccines. Where are the other 2 are coming from? Or is this only in the UK? Just wondering because even my oncologist seemed to be surprised he only told me there

When to test and hope needed
We had a day 3 fresh transfer of 3 embryos using own eggs yesterday. My clinic is doing the hcg test on day 12 (5th Oct). We'd like to prepare ourselves in case of disappointment especially as we have to travel to London from south Wales for the test. Would testing on day 11 give an accurate result?I'm

First IVF/ICSI, Long Protocol, 22mm endometrium thickness
This is my first cycle ever. I was told at my last scan my endometrial lining is too thick 22mm, and I might have to freeze embryo after retrieval, anyone has experienced this before?

Been a bit quiet, been a bit low. Repeating a week...
Hello all,So I've been fighting a cold/cough bug since the tail end of my hols last week. The last run I managed was on Monday of this week, so I'm feeling a bit disappointed in myself, but every intention of getting back to it today after work 🤞🏾 I've now decided it was "ok" to let my body rest,

horrible taste in mouth, nothing tastes good
After looking in my mouth, my GP said, I think you have thrush. A dentist had said an X-ray showed no tooth infection was causing the bad taste. GP prescribed nystatin. After taking it the bad taste is worse than ever, especially in the morning, and the area behind my top and bottom teeth feels

Spring Covid 'Jab' Ten Out Of Ten.
Dear All, Today I had my Latest Covid 'Booster', I think about Seven so far, at a local 'Free' Church- of all places. Very Well 'organised' indeed😀, waiting time around an hour, and a quarter. The Jabs were supplied, via the Chemist/ Pharmacy, on a Walk In basis. I was Extremely Impressed, by the

I saw a consultant in the UK a month or so ago and explained that my transition from Mirapexin to Pregabalin was not going well. At that time, I was taking 150mg Pregabalin and 4 x 0.088 Mirapexin and that at that level i was getting some relief but that any reduction from that in the Mirapexin left
