Acupuncture treatment and frequency for depression?
I’ve heard a lot of good things about acupuncture for depression and anxiety. So I’m scheduling my first appointment in hopes of treating my persistent depression (maybe dysthymia) and anxiety. I’ve tried a lot of different meds over the past 5 years, yet I’m still depressed. I’m so ready to start feeling

No Walk in the Park
I began noticing wrist and hand soreness a week ago...too much computer time and began restricting. On Friday, 2 electricians come for circuit breaker box replacement and replacement of a front porch motion sensor. I'd washed my favorite "indoor" supportive shoes and had worn a pair of soft fabric shoes

Methylprednisolone acetate with Lupron
Hubby has had four successful shots of Lupron ( 1 every 6 months) for prostate cancer, which has lowered both his PSA levels and testosterone to medical castration levels(13). His last ct scan (which he gets every 6 months) showed that the tumors had shrunk to undetectable size and his bone scan showed

Tinnitus
Hi, has anyone had a problem with tinnitus whilst having PMR/GCA &/or on Prednisolone? I’m a long term sufferer but only very mildly but recently it’s been quite pronounced & I wondered if there was a connection. TIA

Intro to me & my inquisitive mind
Hi everyone. I’m new to this forum. I was diagnosed with Emphysema in 2014. Ironically, I’d stopped smoking 1 year prior to the diagnosis & was breathing fine, with good fitness levels. However, I swept up residue plaster from a decorating job I was working on. No mask! The air was really thick with

What causes Tinnitus?
I know it is generated by the brain but what actually is the cause? Stress, anxiety or the brain sending a warning any way it can that something is amiss with the body. I seem to get it more when I sit down to relax and particularly after I have had vertigo. I notice it increases with my computer use

Antibiotics safer for tinnitus
Hi all, I have tinnitus as a result of taking Naproxen three years ago, antibiotics (Metronidazole) have made the condition noticeably\considerably worst just after only 8 tablets of a course of 21, I stopped taking them immediately at that point but the damage was done. I am sure in my life I will

I've been researching info on detoxing to make it easier to increase BDNF and hence brain cells and am wondering if anyone has tried EDTA?
EDTA has been around since the 30s of last century. It was used primarily to chelate heavy metals and has some very interesting general health benefits such as cleaning plaque from arteries etc My thought was that maybe if arteries and blood vessels, particularly those in the brain were all nice and

I have Tinnitus in one ear. It sounds like whooshing and it is usually worse at night when I am trying to sleep. I have no pain or hearing loss. Why is this and what can I do?

How to remedy tinnitus at night before bed ؟
As the night approaches, the fear of a patient increases (tinnitus), as the pain increases and the night lasts, which is very frightening

Does acupuncture help fertility?
Hi all, wanted to ask if anyone has had acupuncture? I’m a bit nervous about doing it, although I’ve heard it helps blood flow and success rates of fertility. Has anyone does this and seen a success? Anyone done this for their IVF treatment?

Starting ADHD treatment at age 17 ?
We didn't have a neuropsych eval done with our Guatemalan adopted son until the end of his freshman year in high school due to increasing struggles with school work. Diagnosis ADHD. We opted to work with a private tutor and executive functioning coach during sophomore year and we all got through it
