Methylprednisolone acetate with Lupron

Hubby has had four successful shots of Lupron ( 1 every 6 months) for prostate cancer, which has lowered both his PSA levels and testosterone to medical castration levels(13). His last ct scan (which he gets every 6 months) showed that the tumors had shrunk to undetectable size and his bone scan showed no evidence of cancer spread. He is having problems with his knees to the point it is hard to walk for long distances and forget kneeling, they ache. From what I have research so far a shot of methylprednisolone for his knees may help but he does not want to do anything that will mess up the lupron shots as he feels they are working. He refused radiation and is on a good diet of fruits and veggies, no sugar, no dairy and taking lots of supplements - Vit D, Krill oil, probiotic, berberine, curcumin, calcium, glysen, mushrooms, and chinese herbs with acupuncture twice a month. Acupuncture does not seem to help the knee pain. Loss about 20 pounds and feels good except for the hot flashes and night sweats. Would Methylprednisolone injection to the knee interfere with the lupron? help the Lupron? I found one study that showed that Methylprednisolone and zytiga worked together for castration resistant cancer, but he is not in that position as of now, but he could be when the lupron stops working. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ask his oncologist, of course, but I don't know of any contraindication.

Refused radiation... ? I did not . Our joints are ravaged by time antibiotics adt and any hereditary issues and old injuries. Without testosterone muscles and joints fade away . That’s my story , I like the no sugar the diet and the nutrients . I take most of these myself and others. . A good stationary bike helps knees .If Even walking causes pain ? You are doing a lot of good stuff .. good luck and love each other well .🌵

I had an epidural spinal lumbar steroid injection for a lumbar radiculopathy at MSK in NYC while receiving Lupron injections which my MO was in agreement with- so no apparent contraindications. This link to a YouTube video on knee exercises may be helpful- youtu.be/4UxUfRb619A

Thank you for your reply and the video
