Evening Tinnitus Noise
Have been suffering Tinnitus for about 2 months now and most things I try to help the situation do not seem to work. I have good hearing but have been using hearing aids with masking but think it may have made the situation worse. Problem now is I can live with noise during daytime but the last couple

Concerts and Microsuction
Hi everyone I have a couple of queries about Tinnitus. I have a concert to go to end of May which was originally booked for 2020 but delayed until now. I'm a bit worried about how loud it will be and wondered if there is anything I can buy to reduce the volume of the sound. I don't wear hearing aids

Prevalence and Predictors of Sub-Clinical GCA in PMR
Mercifully, I have been free of PMR since last Christmas and taking tablets just every second morning is a blessing. I thought this study interesting: https://www.rheumatologyadvisor.com/home/topics/vasculitis/prevalence-predictors-subclinical-giant-cell-arteritis-gca-polymyalgia-rheumatica-pmr/ In

Persistent postural-perceptual dizziness

Patient Experiences on DTE
This is useful narrative paper on why how and when patients prefer NDT (DTE) over other therapies. It might have been posted before, but the journal is obscure. Downloadable paper: Patient Experiences and Perceptions Associated with the Use of Desiccated Thyroid Extract

RLS After Broken Femur
My sister recently broke her femur and had an op to affix steel and screws. She was given low dose Oxycontin as pain relief. She is now 8 weeks post op and is off Oxycontin but for the first time in her life, now has severe RLS. I knew this happened when withdrawing from opioids but it hasn't settled

Hey everyone! I have some seasonal affective Depression. It is worse in the dark winter months, but it starts to get better around March. However, this year my area has been hit with late snow, and wind for the past week-and-a-half. I have been doing pretty well, and excited to think that "Spring"

Fibromyalgia In PD And Some Potential Relief
Fibromyalgia (FM) is slightly more common in people with PD and FM can cause all over body pain that moves around and can affect tissues, joints and muscles. This group of people with PD and FM are more likely to get dementia and have worse symptoms. FM can cause painful flare-ups at random times, but

Is earache part of GCA
I have had PMR &GCA for 5 years, starting on 60mg of pred reducing to a fortnight ago to 4mg with up and down in those 5 years. I have developed a very slight sore spot on the crown of my head but with an accassional pain in my ear on the same side. Spoke to receptionist at surgery who told me to visit

Where to go from here
I am feeling utterly despondent and quite frankly mentally debilitated after my audiology assessment. The mere thought of hospitals induces a fear within myself I can't describe. Something about the clinical nature of the whole procedure is quite scary. Regardless, after having my first appointment

Tinnitus, vertigo and nausea update
A year ago I develop sudden onset loud T in left ear. Went through the whole panic, can’t sleep, can’t eat, how will I live with this thing. Then came to terms with it and started sleeping, trying to live life normally. About 6 months ago, I started feeling severely dizzy and nauseous 24/7. It was just

Dizziness, vertigo and tinnitus, what a horrible trio!
Hi. I'm new to this forum and thought I would post and see if I get any advice or tips. 8 weeks ago I had an episode of vertigo which was pretty much out of the blue and quite terrifying to be honest. Since that I have been dizzy or I would better describe as light headed and spaced out! Actually

Supplement Recommendation - missed miscarriage- Sensitive
Hey, Sadly I had a miscarriage diagnosed yesterday at an 8 week scan. 7 week scan showed it being too small by 9 days so I didn’t have much hope for our scan yesterday. We have another round paid for which I’m guessing we won’t be able to start for a couple of months. I’ve read a lot of posts where

MRI scan or TMJ
Hello, I’m after some advice I’ve had T for over two years, a mild hissing in both ears which started in 2020 just before the first lockdown. This was ok and I’d gradually got used to it, went to see the ENT who found some high frequency loss in my left ear which accounted for the tinnitus apparently

10dp3t - Natural FET
Hi All I’m now in my second week of tww (4th transfer). The first week wasn’t too bad. I was feeling quite positive. Had a few cramps and twinges everyday but since yesterday evening there’s nothing. I’ve not had sore boobs this time around… but could that be because this is a natural cycle? Not sure

EMMA/ALICE test alternatives?
I've been considering doing the ERA/EMMA/ALICE tests before my next (and final) FET, but a few different clinics have said they wouldn't recommend the ERA given that the embryo last time did implant. Has anyone else heard this? From a lot of other posts it seems like people were recommend this as a next
