My fibromyalgia started in a writer way. In 2019, I became very ill with several bloody UTIS, which then affected my skin, my body was producing what was similar to small fish scales, they would ping out of my skin all over my body. Come out my tear ducks. When I was on the loo I could hear them hitting

Questions, question's ... problems 4 year's after Lobectomy !
Hi all. I haven't been here for quite a while but I wanted to ask for a bit of advice from those who had Adenocarcinoma of the lung and have had a Lobectomy. I won't go into what I have been through because it's in my profile but this site has been the only help I have had although I now have a new

I was doing some research on Oramorth for COPD, I asked my Dr for her opinion on it & she said she had good reports on it, she has prescribed me with the minimum dose for someone with COPD 4 times a day. Its early days yet but I'm hoping it will give me a bit more breath as I have been struggling with

I would like to thank the BHF Nurse that actually took the bother to call me after I emailed for help and advice, she was very empathetic and gave me good advice about keeping a record of my blood pressure’s and taking it in the morning when I get up after I’ve pottered about but before any medication

Oramorph….
Hi all, I have very severe COPD & have just been prescribed Oramorph as I have lots of mucus & lots of clearance & coughing each day. I’d just like to ask about experiences with Oramorph & how it works for you? I haven’t taken it yet as I’m a bit nervous 🙈 Any thoughts? Lynne xx

Hello, I hope you're all well :) I've been trying to cope with a pain condition for well over 5 years now. Started with rectal and back pain mid month and now it's become a case of just 1 week out of a month (post period) where I don't experience pain and symptoms. I had a laparoscopy in 2021 and

Worried that my 17 year old daughter has colon cancer

Has anyone had a bad reaction to Oramorph?
Reading the thread about using opioids for RLS, I wonder if anyone has tried Oramorph? As I have stage 4 cancer, when I had some bad pain I was prescribed this liquid medicine but found that it made my RLS ten times worse. It stopped the pain a treat and I only took 2.5 mls ( a tiny amount) but my legs

Morphine not working on RLS? Any experience?
Does anyone have any experience of morphine in the treatment of RLS? I have had to come off Buprenorphine, which did help with the RLS, but turned me into a complete zombie (extreme tiredness and depression, amongst other things). I’m now on morphine, and while it seems to make a little bit sleepy to

Today I feel great!
Yesterday I had some minor surgery but under general anaesthetic. I don’t know if it is the anaesthetic, the oramorph glug I had post op or the day of complete rest, but today, I feel like I did before FMS, RLS and PLMD came to stay! I even slept completely between wee breaks! Long may it last!!!

Pericarditis following pacemaker implant
Thank you to all who gave positive responses to concerns about needing a pm. The op took place on 7th September a day earlier than expected, under local, completely painless and home the same day. The following day saw us in A&E with severe chest pain & shortness of breath, was told to sit on a chair

I have the complication of having a chronic back condition which means I am in pain all the time. I take gabapentin and co codamol and also recently ralvo patches. Last year and earlier this year, I suffered a heart attack, so now cannot take any kind of anti inflamatory. My GP worked with me last year
