New member- don't know what's going on right now!
Hi everyone, I'm new here and very new to the subject of "brain injury" My fiancée fell down the stairs at home 2 weeks ago today. He suffered a bleed on his brain and had surgery to remove the clot. He has "multiple contusions" and a base of skull fracture and his brain is still swollen apparently.

Feel drunk constantly
Hello. Thought I would post on the topic that everyone doesn't really have an answer to. I know people are going through the same thing and might have an answer. My story started 8 months ago. Randomly started feeling drunk at the gym and went to the doctor. Within the 8 months I have literally been

New here, introductory post and scared because of bad thoughts.
Hi everyone. I stumbled across this site by accident, I'm very glad I did! I suffer with Aniexty and Depression and have done on and off for several years. I take Citalopram 10mg and propranolol 120mg. I have a 2 year old and luckily a great support network around me. I've only been taking the Citalopram

Changing to Armour from Levothyroxine
On the advice of my nutritionist, I asked and persuaded my G.P. to switch me from Levo to Armour Thyroid but I've read a few other messages on here now about doing a gradual switch over and even a split dosage. I have been taking my normal dose of Levo ....50mcg a day because I was unsure how long it

Long term carer
Hi. I'm new to the site. My husband's head injury was in 1989. He was unconscious for 7 weeks and had several operations on his brain after being run over. He had a left frontal labotomy which resulted in a lot of changes in his personality . He still gets angry about his accident and life can be unpredictable

Problems with bowels - diarrhoea!!
Hi I've been having problems with my bowels off and on since 2012. The problem is diarrhoea and the need to go to the toilet suddenly without warning. When this first started happening I had a number of embarrassing accidents whilst out when I didn't make it to the loo. My doctor prescribed Imodium which

Snow now
Weather has now changed and the wind and rain has given up to snow on the hills. for the last two days. Pax hates the snow and ice so He prefers to stay in just having a quick pee in the garden. I was watching the television last night and they were putting cloth booties on the dogs feet with the claws

Premique low dose - reviews please
Hi have just started this been peri menopausal for 2.5 years now but the lack of sleep was getting difficult to deal with. Just wondered how others found this? I have already put on a couple of pounds and am running to the loo every two minutes? Has this been successful in helping anyone with flushes

My son Steve
Well, I have to say that 2014 - 2015 will never be forgotten in our family for all the wrong reasons! On the 22nd December 2014 I had to say a very sad farewell to Freddie, my beautiful cat of 17 years, he was the best cat ever and I still miss him a lot. He was such a loving, vocal fella, more like

Traffic accident today
I have GCA and PMR, and am taking Prednisone 40 mg. Today I was driving out of a large shopping parking lot and hit a car that was turning in to the parking lot. I can't remember much of the details of the collision, except that I could not back up the car as my bumper was attached to the passenger

Low dose naltrexone, has anyone heard or used this FDA approved drug?
This drug is supposed to be a great drug for autoimmune diseases even some cancers and hiv but so far I've asked 2 doctors about it and they haven't heard anything about it. I've read on it and would love to try it, hopefully the rheumatologist I see in January will know something. If anyone has any

Prostap
Hi all. You've probably heard this all before but I'm worried. I had my first Prostap injection three weeks ago for heavy bleeding due to a pseudocyst and adhesions. I also have an ileostomy (Stoma) which they believe have compounded my issues as the adhesions are stuck to my womb, ovaries and what's

Video Assisted Thoracotomy and Maze Procedure - 5 Weeks On
Firstly thanks to everyone who wished me well for this procedure. And, seasons greetings. Now in my 5th week after the ablation and feeling quite well. Wounds healed well. I have had a couple of episodes of 'short beats' for a few hours at a time but this has not occurred for about 10 days now. My
