The Brighter Side of PMR: 'Thunderbirds Are GO? - but cautiously. Update on my 5-4-3-2-1 mgpd (or whatever) Pred reductions... ;-)
Warm Greetings to 'You Lot', whoever and wherever you are. As always: this Post is less about celebrating my progress than sharing some 'news' - in case you can relate to, or gain some insights from it. Here goes: If you haven't read my previous posts (I don't blame you if not..) about a recent breakthrough

Nightn nappy or not for my 7yr old
Hi I'd really appreciate some advice. My 7 year old daughter has pretty much always been wet at night. When she was about 5 we started using a reward chart system, it was a bit hit and miss but she would have episodes of 5 dry nights in a row etc... Then we moved house and her bed wetting escalated to

Steroid-induced diabetes
I'm feeling v discouraged, last couple of days because, despite noticeably reducing Pred - now on 12mg ->> 11mg - my steroid-induced diabetes seems to be getting worse instead of better. My blood sugars are creeping up; not disastrous, but are hovering around 14mmol/l at all times - too high. This is

Palliative care - transition
I usually think of transition from primary to secondary school but I'm finding the transition to palliative care hard as it's tough to leave the oncology team and get to know a new crowd. I'm wondering if there's a way it could be made easier. I'd visited the hospice before (helped with their LGBTI

Going home
I'm being released From the hospital today. The Electrophyologist said that all my rythms changed drasticly for the better and he is extremely pleased at what he saw. He said that The possibility of me being shocked is now minimal. Which I am thankful. I am also now part of a permanent study for the

Bad times
Well where to start. Fifth chem cycle last week. My sister usually has a couple of days feeling yuk then bounces back. Not tbis time. She is in critical care with neutropenic sepsis and a blocked bowel which thankfully has started moving again. Her white blood cells are on their way back up but first

Surgery went well
The sympthectomy went well. They did left side only. I have a. Chest rude since it was easier to collape my lung to get to the proper nerves. I don't feel panicky at all. I do feel my heart beating only because I'm in a little pain. From here out it will be a daily diary for everyone to read. Perhaps

An Immune Disease? Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Fibromyalgia Study Suggests FM Has Inflammatory Side
"Low dose naltrexone (LDN) is becoming more and more widely used in fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). You can chart that use right back to Jarred Younger’s two small FM trials in 2009 and 2013. Now Younger’s back with a third trial that aims to do two things: a) further validate

Final step
My doctor came in to see me today. The bad news is the med Tikosyn was my last med resort. I am not tolerating it so they stopped it. Abdominal Pain after Cardiac Ablation
Hi, I had a cardiac ablation on 6/8/2017. I am happy at this point to report that other than some flutters and flops the first week that immediately converted to normal sinus rhythm, the a-fib seems to be under control. However, I have been having off and on abdominal pain since I woke up from the

Coma
My brother in law and my sister were assaulted on the 18th June. The attack resulted in my brother in law suffering from a TBI and is now in a coma (not an induced coma) he has a GCS score of 4 and we've been told it's likely he may never wake up. I understand the TBI has caused him to have mutilple

Notes...
I stopped looking for CBD changes; I do try to take note of things that come up. I keep notes, not a journal. I print them and give them to the doctors when we go for an appointment. I'm getting use to the many changes over the past year and a half... He never wants to go out to dinner, visit friends

Has anyone ever had 'mind blanks' after a head injury? Almost like wading through treacle to find your thoughts? Sometimes I get the most awful 'episodes' whereby I'll be doing something and I'll feel my thoughts slow down so much that it will be like there is a 'block' that is stopping my thoughts from
