Dry eye
So, I have been walking 6 miles a day 6 to 7 times per week. Now that it's cold I still walk. My right eye is bothering me. It feels like there is a coating over it. I went to my eye dr. He said it looks like and sounds like dry eye due to the weather. Cold and windy. He gave me eye drops. He checked

My ongoing RLS battle
This is a follow up to my post “Life After Ropinirole”. Shortly after I posted my body decided it had had too many opioiods and I became more sick than I had ever gotten on opioids before. It came on suddenly without warning. No chance to make any changes to prevent it. The nausea was so very intense

Thyroid and sticky blood tests
I am hoping someone can give me some help and information regarding these tests which my clinic have recommended before our next transfer. A little bit of my story so far. I have had 6 transfers, transfer number 4 gave us our little girl. My last transfer ended in a MMC at 8 weeks, not sure of the reason

Why in Dutch guideline for PA and B12 deficiency emphasis is just on IM injection and SC injection not mentioned?
I'm wondering why in dutch guideline for PA and B12 deficiency there is no SC injection. Is there any difference between IM injection and SC injection results? Why frequency of injection is different than NGS NICE guideline? In my experience more retention of B12 is the only key factor in symptoms improvement

Support for blind elderly
I have several risk factors for glaucoma and my question is: if I go completely blind in later life, would I get any help and support? I have no family, and am terrified at the prospect of being dumped at home with noone at all coming in, basically left to starve to death. I don't want to sound melodramatic

Treatment options
Hello all, I have some questions regarding treatment, just wondered if anyone can help. 1. Has anyone (in the UK) managed to get medication other than SSRI plus antipsychotic? Either NHS or private? If so, how? 2. Has anyone tried multiple SSRIs with little to no success, then tried another that does

Anyone tried a homeopath
My mum has suffered with rls for about 10 years. She's tried ropinerole, pamiprexole, skin patches, gabapentin and pregablin. All of this gave her relief at first and then symptoms returned. Next the doctor gave her topiremade, with this her rls went away however she had really bad depression symptoms

IBS-C & Sibo
I’ve got IBS-C and have recently been diagnosed with Sibo , I’ve had a 2 week course of antibiotics, Rifaximin, but they’ve done nothing , in fact I feel worse now , my stomach is in turmoil, so I’m assuming I still have it , but I haven’t been re tested yet , so I can’t be sure . I gather from my consultant

Coming off Apixaban
I have been on Apixaban 5mg twice a day for 6 months now due to me having a pulmonary embolism due to being bed bound with covid. I’m due to come off my medication today as my doctor insist I not longer need treatment. I’m very nervous to stop taking the tablets and what effects it will have on my body
