For Christmas I received a positive Covid result. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I had an inflamed spine from a long car ride. So i was on solumedrol 1000 mg once a month and PT(My DMT Copaxone). This was working for me. On December 20th another intravenous solumedrol. I became fatigued and had post nasal drip. I thought I was coming down with cold or getting sinus infection. The only reason i went to urgent care, and I didn't want to be sick for Christmas. My neurologist and I surmised that I may have been exposed to Covid from the nurse who gave me solumedrol. We were chatting and she was talking about how she was exposed to Covid, but hospital refused to test her because she has no symptoms; which I confirmed. I am grateful my only symptom was congestion. I very grateful and thank God that no one in my family had/has covid, especially husband with kidney transplant. I truly thank God for mild symptom and my family has been spared. Scary to think you can be walking around with Covid and not realize it.

Covid anyone?
Sure hope you continue to feel better! In my thoughts. 🤗🤗
Wow I have heard that some people don't feel sick but they can carry it & give to others. Glad you don't have bad symptoms hope you continue to feel good & hope you are not a carrier!
I hope I am not a carrier, but many people report mild symptoms her vaccinated/boosted. And they would no difference than me. Now I think I have caught my husbands cold. I did my 10 day isolation to find him sick and he does not have Covid. I hope I didn't get another thing. Low grade fever. Or maybe my sinus infection didn't clear up.
I am praying for you & your family! Mary
i expect medical facilities to know better! i'm so sorry you got sick (and for christmas!🤬), but glad it's mild.
wow may you stay just feeling like a cold ...wow..take care and be safe...
And such a blessing that vaccination kept you from the hospital and intubation! I hope you continue to feel better, and that your loved ones remain safe from the virus.
Glad you have mild symptoms.
My husband and I got it early December. He only had sinus congestion so thought it was allergies but it hit me hard. If I didn't get sick he never would have tested. It has been 3 weeks and I am just now starting to feel almost normal. Taste and smell still off but I did get a little back, fatigue and sinus congestion improving too. I am a nurse and was not allowed to return to work for 21 days from symptom onset so was able to work on 12/30. Glad I worked one day and now have 3 days off to recover. Back to full time tomorrow though.
I was vaccinated but was waiting until December to get booster so it was furthest out between Ocrevus infusions. Now I will have to wait at least 3 months to get booster but since I get Ocrevus in January will plan on getting it in May.
I hope you continue to do well and recover completely quickly!
Happy New Year 😊
Thank you. I come out of isolation January 5th. My congestion is almost clear. I am starting to feel more like myself. Be careful, and be safe, especially taking Ocrevus. I know you look forward in returning to work. Most nurses I know, are passionate about their work and service. And I hope you don't experience any symptoms from your much needed booster! I'm glad you both are doing well.
Bless Your Heart TonyiaR7 I'm so glad that you're feeling better and no one else got it also! 🤗💕🌠
Thank you for caring! It is a miracle that everyone in my family didn't get the virus. I have been isolating since I felt ill. With other members of the family with underlying health issues, we are accustomed to quarantine when one gets ill. We are diligent about not spreading germs. However, I truly miss a hug, a kiss and snuggling up with my husband.
When I had called my dr's office in early december because I suspected a sinus infection. They told me I needed to get a covid test because a lot of people who thought they had a sinus infection turned out to be covid positive. Luckily, it was just a sinus infection and I was covid negative. Hope you feel better soon, and no more symptoms.
I did actually have a sinus infection and received antibiotics. But I was very congested than usual. I couldn't get an appointment with my usual doctor, thus I had to go to urgent care. Plus my doctor does not do Covid testing. I am glad you had negative Covid results, when you had your sinus infection. Last year, I had a middle ear infection with low fever. But was negative for Covid. The ENT office didn't want me to come in with low grade fever. So this time as a precaution, they gave me Covid/flu/RSV test. (I tend to get ear/sinus infections in the winter). So I wasn't expecting a positive Covid test since congestion and sinus pressure was my main symptoms. But the fatigue was more than usual. Feeling better already. Strange, I may have not had been tested if I didn't get increases sinus pressure.
With the crazy weather that we have, I usually get a sinus infection about every 6 months (if not more often). Didn't realize there was a single test for all at once, which is good. I think that is what they tested my niece with when my sister took her to the er the other day. She has rsv and is miserable, especially at night.
that is the hardest part of this stupid covid, you don't know who is a carrier, am I? with 0 symptons how do you know???
Stay safe and good luck
Sorry you had to get Covid 19. I had it in August. I didn't have much more than a stuffy head & heavy chest with a low fever in the evenings. The bad part came after Covid 19. I ended up with an upper respiratory infection & major fatigue. Luckily I had used my inhaler early on when my chest felt heavy. It kept me from getting pneumonia. A month later my hair started falling out by the fist full. It has finally stopped falling out. I'm hoping it grows back. I pray you don't have any after-effects I had.
I think I developing something with this low grade fever my husband and I now both have. I feel more sick afterward my isolation period. I hope this temporary. I don't have any other symptoms; he coughs but not Covid. I told him to get well. And wear a mask with all his coughing.
I quarantined in another room and I wore a mask and gloves when I went into common areas of the house. My husband has heart issues & didn't want him to get sick even though he was vaccinated. We got through it without him getting sick. My Dr told me that Covid is gone after 12 days from onset & and any fever or symptoms after that are secondary infections and are usually upper respiratory. Antibiotics knocked it fast as mine was bacterial rather than viral. Hope you get well soon!
Despite you contracting Covid, TonyiaR7 , you still exude such a upbeat attitude! I hope that you you recover quickly! Keep Smiling!
Hope you're feeling better.
