allergic to eye drops
is anyone else allergic to ALL the eye drops? Had xalacom and xalatan for years, no problem. Then changed several times and ended up with cosopt and monopost. Eyes became swollen, red itchy. Changed to preservative free with the same reaction. Have retried most of the others with the same result. It

Incessant itching driving me crazy
I was diagnosed with SLE and APS around 25 years ago ; although I reckon I've had both for most of my life ; I'm 74. Over the years I've had a number of DVT's and a PE and I'm on life long Warfarin. I was on Hydroxy. but was taken off this due to it causing vision problems. The most persistant problem

Experiences with 75mcg Levothyroxine (Teva)?
I have some questions about specifically the Teva 75mcg Levothyroxine. Increased my dose recently from 50mcg, but recently started waking up with headaches, dizziness and blurred vision which never happened before on 50mcg. Curious if this is just my body not liking the Teva brand, and maybe trying

Pregabalin + Ropinirole or Opioids
After a recent post from Amrob explaining that they add 0.125mg or 0.25mg Clonazepam to 300 mg Pregabalin when the Pregabalin does not cut ... I do the same with Ropinirole, adding 0.125mg nightly to 300 mg Pregabalin, because I will never get to sleep otherwise ..... I wonder what the thoughts are

After Trab worry
Hello fellow people who have had trabeculectomies. It has been 4 months since my right eye had a Trabeculectomy. Things are pretty good with a pressure of 9 which is very nice for me. I am thinking now about surgery in the other eye BUT am not keen on a Trabeculectomy. I'm afraid of the risks of

My mum suffers with Lupus. She has tried using Zerobase, several Steroid creams, and Mepocrim tablets. She suffers with this on her face, neck, hands and arms. Please can anyone suggest anything that she can use or take that doesn't cost too much money? Thank you.

Need help/support/advice for healing relationships with adult children and dealing with the guilt of unintentional damage done to them by me
I’ve been trying to catch up on posts on here and end up talking about myself too much so I thought I’d try to put my own post out here. I need support concerning my guilt over messing up my relationships with my adult children. I used to have very close relationships with all three of my kids. They

Dopamine agonists
Why does https://www.rls-uk.org/faqs still say under Treatments for RLS "Dopamine agonists are often recommended for people with more frequent symptoms. These include ropinirole, pramipexole and rotigotine." No mention in that answer of problems with augmentation and that Gabapentin/ Pregabalin is the

Teva and dry mouth
I’ve written here before about the dry mouth I’ve had since just before Christmas. And about all the many tests and scans I’ve had in that time, all of which drew a blank. Then in March / April I picked up some more Levothyroxine packets from the pharmacist. On that occasion I was served by a particular

Rutin
Apparently Rutin is very rich in flavinoids which can help health in many ways. My husband and I ( both over 70) used to get leg cramps every week or two especially at night, since taking rutin we no longer have cramps. I think it took several months to really make a difference. It is also supposed

Drusen/CRVO reporting to DVLA
Ive recently developed a central retinal vein occlusion in my right eye and also been told I have Drusen in both eyes. I believe this has to be reported to the DVLA. Vision in my right eye with glasses si 6/7.5 so not bad. My husband is arguing that no one has told me to report this so I don't need

Steroid dose after operation
I am having an eye operation next week. It involves a retina peel because of a perimedial retina and an cataract operation. For a number of reasons, I am having it done under general anaesthetic. I know it will involve a steroid injection. At the moment, I am on 6.5 m . The anaesthetist has said I

I have a DVLA test arranged for the 24th of this month and I have an appointment at my local SpecSavers as my eye prescription has changed since my last eye test in May. I was due to have my DVLA test last August but contacted the SpecSavers DVLA Team explaining I was having treatment for a corneal

pregabelin side effects
I explained to my dr that sertraline had caused my restless leg to return. Previously it was under control with iron. She put me on a low dose of pregabelin, 25mg to take at night and continue with sertraline in the morning. The first night was ok…ish. I did sleep much better. but the second night
