About 11 years ago I was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome and had a de-fib fitted as well as prescibed Quinidine and Bisoloprol which I have taken ever since. 4 years ago my de-fib activated so my Consultant increased the levles of Quinidine. However I am told by my Consultant & Pharmacy that they cannot get hold of Quinidine (from the Dutch supplier) and I have taken no Quinidine for the last 2 weeks. Have others experienced the same problem?

Quinidine Sulphate
I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing, please do not hesitate to contact your Doctor to discuss further.
Hi! This is a late reply to your post .
I have found the same problem in Sweden with quinidine. I have arrhythmia (ventricular bigeminy for a while there )
I stopped responding to beta blockers and the only other drug they could try as quinidine ( I was in my second trimester pregnancy )
It was so hard to obtain as it’s unlicensed in Sweden . My doctor being amazingly strong managed to find it and get it from Holland.
I took it for almost a year and it’s been great for me.
However I began to run low and they have just switched me to Tambocor this week which is doing terrible things to my mind and body.
I can’t get to sleep, I am dead tired by the afternoon, I am moody and irritable , my memory is foggy, and my appetite is confusing. I can’t gauge how hungry I am and when I’ve had enough food.
It’s terrible and it’s only 5 days in.
The pharmacy refused to order it for me before I went onto Tambocor saying the doctor must find another drug to put me on.
Did you end up finding a way to buy Quinidine again ?
What did you do if not ?
Cheers
