Apparently Rutin is very rich in flavinoids which can help health in many ways.
My husband and I ( both over 70) used to get leg cramps every week or two especially at night, since taking rutin we no longer have cramps. I think it took several months to really make a difference.
It is also supposed to aid eye health by strengthening the blood capillaries allowing more effective blood flow.
Several foods are rich in rutin but Buckwheat gives the highest source. We find it easiest to use as buckwheat flakes added to cereal. I buy it from a health food shop. Buckwheat flour and buckwheat grain is also available.
As it helps prevent bruising and also works as a circulation booster it is probably quite useful in the diet.
I would be interested to hear if anyone else finds it beneficial ?
