If it's not Chickenpox or Shingles...
I was diagnosed with phoritic RA ( as well as all the other arthritis ) put on a high dose of mexitrate by injection . Anyhow, broke out in a horrible rash on my hands and arms. Went to the chemist, they said heat rash and flogged me antihistamines. Rash continued to be really painful and incredibly

Newborn and chickenpox
Can newborn babies catch chickenpox? My baby is 3 weeks old tomorrow and my cousin has been round with her little girl today and has just rang me to say she’s got chickenpox - she’s only noticed when she’s got her changed - I’m panicking now my baby is gonna catch them!

Surgery Tomorrow
Hi fellow warriors, I’m planned to have a total abdominal hysterectomy tomorrow & I was already feeling anxious etc but now tonight I’ve discovered the biggest horrible boil on the top of my inner thigh. Thanks to Lupus I do often suffer with boils on my thighs but why now???? It’s going to be so embarrassing

Effects of meningitis
Does people with the TB meningitis get (chronic granulomatous lymphadenitis) swelling in the neck forming pus. Does it will cure on it's own? Or it needs a surgery

Viral Meningitis
I had viral meningitis with Influenza B in March 2018. I have had a horrible headache everyday since then. I also have major cognitive problems and I have trouble walking. I also was diagnosed with Chiari malformation but the doctor said I had it since childhood and that wasn’t the problem. I am off

Slowly giving up.
Ok so after my recent post about the NDT seeming to do nothing to help and the mass of supplements I've been taking ( seemingly at wrong doses or unnecessarily) I came to a huge decision. I've literally stopped the lot! I can't get any help from my doctor as I've tried and he's useless and now my head

Medication side-effects
Hi everyone, Just looking for a bit of knowledge or advice from anyone else who may have experienced bad side effects from medications. My GP has changed some of my medications to try and relieve some of my symptoms because I’ve not really been having any relief. I’ve been switched to Fluoxetine

Anyone had an Acute Kidney Stage Warning?
My last two blood tests have highlighted an acute kidney stage warning, so instead of seeing my GP next week after the blood tests last week, I am to have the blood tests again in a month. I've looked up the information on "Think Kidneys" an NHS guide for GPs. Looking at the possible medication causes

NSAIDs and Kidney damage
Hi so I've been advised by my GP to take Ibuprofen for my endometriosis pain, which is mainly around my periods, that's usually enough to manage it. It works best if I preload it so I usually take it three days before and then three days during, so a total of 6 days a cycle (about 30ish days). I've
