Hi so I've been advised by my GP to take Ibuprofen for my endometriosis pain, which is mainly around my periods, that's usually enough to manage it. It works best if I preload it so I usually take it three days before and then three days during, so a total of 6 days a cycle (about 30ish days).
I've recently had my full blood tests and it's showed up "kidneys working harder" by a different doctor - so I'm having repeat bloods done.
Anyone else had this, what do I ask / discuss at my next appointment with my GP? Do I need different painkillers? Do I need specialist tests? I've heard some types of kidney disease can be reversible. I know paracetamol can damage the liver.
Work wants me to keep taking painkillers as that means I can be in work - my last capability meeting was no option of work from home, but informal flexi, so they want me to manage my pain. Do I discuss this with my GP? As I'm guessing if kidney damage is a result of the ibuprofen then GP can send a letter to work?
Help!!
