What to take after coming off Ropinirole
I'm quite new to this site, my Last post was about the gambling problem I have with taking Ropinirole. I'm now desperate to come off Ropinirole and have been trying to reduce my dosage. I have reduced it from 2mg to 0.75 but at a price. I'm going through augmentation and since trying to reduce the

Neurotransmitter changes in rat brain regions following glyphosate exposure.

Atrazine a common herbicide is neurotoxic; it reduces dopamine levels in the substantia nigra.
How many people with Parkinson's disease spent a lot of time on the golf course or tending to the perfect lawn? There is no such thing as safe pesticides, it can be less toxic if used with great care, but never safe, and best avoided altogether. [i]Atrazine is a herbicide of the triazine class. Atrazine

Link between DHA levels and PD by Dr. Fuhrman
DHA and Parkinson’s Disease Parkinson’s Disease is a common neurologic disease believed to be caused by deterioration of the brain cells that produce dopamine. The link between DHA deficiency and Parkinson’s is not established in the scientific literature, but I have observed a disproportionate number

Gut microbes interfere with Parkinson's drug - but we could stop them
Levodopa is used to treat many of the symptoms experienced by the 10 million people with Parkinson’s. The drug works by passing the blood-brain barrier and releasing dopamine in the brain. But some of the drug is converted to dopamine before it gets there, which can cause adverse side effects and limit

I am rigidity- dominant PD ; My personal experience!
I am rigidity -dominant PD and like other PwPD my main issues arise when imbalances between Acetylcholine and Dopamine and other neurotransmitters occur. I think we are either Dopamine- dominant or Acetylcholine- dominant( my case) PD. 📍📍Note: The DaTSCAN image doesn't belong to me and that's for

Live webinar to discuss the topic “Stem Cell Research in Parkinson’s” on the 12th June
Some Q&A What is the timeline. It’s going to take a while, hopefully not 15 years. One of he difficulties with cells is ti takes longer for the benefit to be seen. The good news is that there is a lot of biotech interest which will move things quickly. Will it treat both motor and non motor symptoms

Dramatic Recovery In Parkinson’s Patient with Gluten Free Diet

A remarkable case study adds to a growing body of research indicating that wheat's neurotoxicity is greatly underestimated. A remarkable case report describing the dramatic

RLS nightmare disease
I’m a 48 year old male, recent diagnosis of RLS (year ago). I have tried a range of dopamine agonists- didn’t work. Am now on gabapentine and amitripaline - the last 4 days - they don’t work either. Mood has dropped significantly. Appetite has dropped, don’t see a way out of this at the moment. Struggling

Losing hope
Dx 2003 aged 46. until about 6 months ago i refused to be beaten. Now I am utterly beaten. For years I’ve taken madopar every 90 mins . I have always had sudden swings between off and on but was able to make them bearable – with the odd blip - with extra madopar. I worked out years ago that protein interferes
