Sifrol hell
Hi, I am a 57yo lady. Maybe mid 2018 I was prescribed Sifrol aka Pramipexole, Mirapex etc to combat RSL whilst withdrawing from Slow Release Tramadol used for about 16 years for Fibromyalgia. I had NO idea at the time this drug SIFROL is harder to get off than opiates...unless you use opiate meds

Let the FDA know that you support for autologous dopamine neuron replacement therapy for Parkinson's disease - NOW.
This is the very promising project of Dr. Jeanne Loring https://www.summitforstemcell.org/ about induced pluripotent stem cells that is applying to FDA for test trials. I just received this email from them asking to let the FDA know we need it NOW ! I wanted to share it with all you guys to get a loud

Is the cure for Parkinson's just a supplement away? Researchers say vitamin B12 can inhibit a key Parkinson's enzyme
Can Parkinson’s disease be treated with supplements? A study published in the journal Cell Research suggests that it can be possible to treat hereditary Parkinson’s disease with the help of vitamin B12. The study found that an active form of vitamin B12 called AdoCbl (5’-deoxyadenosylcobalamin) could

Switching to L-dopa from macuna, from cardopa/levadopa.
Trial on myself, I was trying Barlows 40% Pure l-dopa, worked good and now using 100%pure l-dopa from NutriVita which is very potent, I use just a pinch of the powder in water, it only last for 2 hours, and using Quercetin/ Bromelain I was hoping it would help to lengthen the l-dopa but I really don't

Research shows inflammation reduces dopamine
According to this scientific article inflammation can reduce dopamine release. I do believe that adopting a low inflammatory diet has helped me keep my RLS under control. "This was reported in a new paper published in the journal Trends in Cognitive Sciences. The research carried out at Emory University

summary of a visit to my neurologist
Since I havent seen my neurologist in about TWO YEARS, I had a bunch of questions for him. here they are and here are his answers: Any value in genetic testing? No. Should we test my gut bacteria? No. Would Stem cell replacement be beneficial? Still experimental. No. Have you ever heard of the Marty

Effect alcohol has on dopamine agonist?
Has there been anybody noticed the effect alcohol has on their dopamine agonist? I wear a 3mg dopamine 24 hour release patch, and have found that on the occasions that I have gone out for an evening with friends, and had a few beers that the patches are less effective. I have looked on the official

Meditation - A potential case of remission of Parkinson’s disease
Abstract: We present the case of a 78-year-old male who, 16 years ago, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) by a neurologist. He initially presented with left-hand tremor, stooped posture, shuffling gait, and frequent falls, which eventually progressed to bilateral motor symptoms after 3 years

How Does Smoking Affect Sleep??
I'm passing this on from one of our members, BlueEyedGal Each year, nearly 6 million people die worldwide from tobacco use and related diseases. Smoking has a long list of health risks, including cancer, depression, anxiety, heart disease, and much, much more. But smoking also interferes with your sleep
