Eating banana with the skin on may help Parkinsons
Hey all. I don't have Parkinsons but joined this community because of other people experimenting with supplements like I was. I am getting better taking biotin so I suspect I have a genetic problem with that. In the past few days I have been starting to eat fruit I had never eaten before in my life.

Exercise
Not only exercise is good for the brain but also thinking. Once you have stabilized your body it is time to push your brain but it needs help, lets say something that supplies it's own dopamine and flushes out toxins. I wonder what I would turn to.???????????

Short Chain Fatty Acids, sodium butyrate, phenylbutyrate
It is well established that Parkinson's disease patients have a short chain fatty acid deficiency: Short chain fatty acids and gut microbiota differ between patients with Parkinson's disease and age-matched controls. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27591074 Sodium butyrate/butyric acid is a short

My experience with a keto diet
I want to share my unsuccessful experience. I started keto diet couple of weeks ago. By the end of 1st week my PD symptoms progressed dramatically up to the point that I could not go to work one day. Basically medications did not kick in at all or lasted for an hour or so. I was taking one pill after

The side effects from the medications that I’m on have destroyed my life
The motor symptoms and physical side effects are the easy part to manage everyday It’s the non-motor symptoms that I have so much trouble with. The behavioral side of this condition has destroyed my life. Dopamine is also how our brains regulate our behavior. It effects our mood and emotions as well

Augmentation? I'm guessing yes.
I'm new here and hope to contribute to and benefit from this site. Nighttime RLS started in 2010. My GP started me on Requip 1mg on 1/10/11. Worked for some months and then dosage was increased to Requip XL 2mg on 9/2/11. Worked very well for a couple of years and then worsening daytime and nightime

Dopamine Triggers Movement but Does Not Sustain It, Parkinson’s Study Suggests
Interesting study. It suggests that a constant flow of dopamine is not necessary. https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/2018/02/13/portuguese-and-american-study-finds-dopamine-sparks-but-does-not-sustain-movement/?utm_source=PAR+E-mail+List&utm_campaign=538f471527-RSS_WEEKLY_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_MONDAY_US&utm_medium

Tramadol and/or Horizant
I have seen several discussions/comments about tramadol HCL, but can not find them. I would appreciate any good, bat, otherwise on this Rx. My RLS Dr. is suggesting it as a less addictive Rx to help with sleep at night, as one of several options to try, since I have withdrawn from Augmentation from pramipexole

Novelty and dopamine
Does anyone else feel like boredom contributes to their depression? My job is incredibly dull and I swear that contributes to depression. On the other hand, if I can find novel things to engage my mind in like a good book, a classic video game, playing an instrument, or meeting someone new then I feel
