Some Q&A

What is the timeline. It’s going to take a while, hopefully not 15 years. One of he difficulties with cells is ti takes longer for the benefit to be seen. The good news is that there is a lot of biotech interest which will move things quickly.

Will it treat both motor and non motor symptoms

Stem cell treatments are expected to have an impact of non motor symptoms when the symptom is linked to dopamine in the basal ganglia

My understanding is that Stem Cells are proposed to replace dopamine producing cells in the basal ganglia. However the phenomena (infection) of misfolding alpha synuclein molecule spreads to other neurons in other parts of the brain and brainstem effecting the autonomic system, and cognition.

Unless a way is discovered to stop the spread of the misfolded alpha synuclein molecule, non-motor functions will be effected.
