Lactobacillus and Levodopa
Has anyone seen the uTube video re the Gastro Intestinal doctor who advised against taking probiotics because of the adverse action of lactobacillus on Levodopa? I saw it recently and can't find it now - I am interested in reading further about the lactobacillus impact on Levodopa. I would appreciate

on 3.5mgs of Prednisolone & having a colonoscopy with sedation on Saturday. Should I increase my dose of pred beforehand?
Hi all, looking for advice from you lovely knowledgeable people. I’ve tapered down from 10mg in June last year to 3.5mg 2 weeks ago with no problems, (apart from pains in my legs during the night, but I think that might be something else). I often wonder if the PMR might actually be in remission because

(This started as a post on PGE1 and PGA2, but then I found AQ, CQ, and DHI might do the same thing so I have changed the title) It has been 2 years since this was posted in HU: https://healthunlocked.com/cure-parkinsons/posts/143562876/2-compounds-show-ability-to-protect-neurons-raise-dopamine-levels

Is the "tetrahydrofurfury disulfide in (TTFD)" a B1 with a "DMSO" attached?
*** I ended up with High Blood Pressure taking TTFD. I no longer take TTFD. Based on my experience, I would not recommend TTFD. *** I am not into chemistry. Asked another way: Did Japanese Researchers in 1951 attach a DSMO to a B1 to make it more absorbable to cure B
eriberi or were they trying to

From EHA June 2022. Treating hypertension in patients receiving BTK inhibitors
My own Ibrutinib induced hypertension has been tricky to treat and Losartan, which did suit me, had to be stopped as it was contraindicated. Now on Amlopidine and it's not effective at all so going back to Losartan now that I'm off Ibrutinib. Interesting in that he says that more than one class of

Difference between the Keto diet and Diabetic diet
My son has recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, having been prediabetic for quite a while. He also has mild kidney damage that he was unaware of until a few weeks ago. His wife, a nurse, is persuading him to follow the Keto diet, which she will also follow because she would like to lose weight

Is anyone using Voltaren?
My doctor recommended Voltaren following a recent knee sprain. He said it wouldn't interfere with my Xarelto since it's applied topically. I'm still a bit hesitant to try it. Anyone here using it?

Hi, I was diagnosed with PMR in April this year and started off on 15mg Prednisolone and have so far managed to taper down to 10mg. I have now been told that I am pre-diabetic (thanks steroids 😡😡) and am just interested in knowing what people eat for snacks/treats or are we just expected to give

Leukapheresis completed
I got my leukapheresis yesterday for the CAER-T trial at City of Hope. It should be about 4 weeks until they infuse the modified cells. Next steps are bone and marrow biopsies to characterize the cancer prior to treatment, chemotherapy to deplete my T cells and macrophages then infusing the modified
