Dr Matthew Phillips - Parkinson's, Fasting, and Ketogenic Diets
Just found this video from Feb 2021 Comments? Opinions? I'm weighing options and leaning toward fasting or (more likely) "Fasting Mimicking Diet". https://youtu.be/AaiyJjKWt-0

How do we assemble our cumulative CKD knowledge so that it's a) digestible and b) easily accessible to all?
An impossible task (especially with the HealthUnlocked format) but it seems there's great knowledge out here amongst us .. but no way to assemble it in an easily accessible place. We seem doomed to repeating ourselves and having useful information 'slip down the page' and out of view. How on earth

High risk of developing type 2 diabetes
Hi. I need some reassurance. I was diagnosed in mid-July with PMR and was put on 15mgs Pred. My doctor (who I like and who listens to what I want) kept me on 15mgs for 2 months and then agreed with my decision to drop by 1mg every 4 weeks. After reading all I could on this forum, I decided I would

Large AC at 32 weeks
Hi all Just back from my 32 weeks scan and all looks fine, except baby’s abdominal circumference (AC) is really large, over the 95th percentile. Head and femur are in the 70s and 80s and overall weight at about 90th percentile. I am quite concerned what this means for the baby’s growth and health, and

Good news, it can be reversed.
Good news . I have reversed my F2 to F0 in two years through low carb diet and exercise. Loose weight, clean diet and exercise really work. Be optimistic.

Fibroscan or ELF
Hi I am going to get a test. My doctor suggested to do after 1 year when I was diagnosed. its around 8 months and I am getting little impatient. Please suggest which one shall i go for ELF or Fibroscan. I have done Fibroscan before. 1. Does ELF cover both Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic etiologies ? 2.

Gestational diabetes, grief and kicking me while I'm down.
I've got hyperemesis gravidarum, high blood pressure, a dead husband and now I have gestational diabetes. I am 27 weeks and 4 days. I can barely choke down anything as it is apart from bread which normally comes back up. So now I have gestational diabetes and "no bread". Pretty much broccoli is all

Turning Point?
Today, 30th sept.2021. The best I have felt physically and mentally in over 12 months. I genuinely feel like I once did when "normal". Even the slight hip issue which is 30 years wear and tear properly back and entirely manageable. Posture needs adjusting so my hip drop exercise paramount now. Weight

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Manuka honey and Pancreatitis 🍯 🐝
Hi everyone, apparently honey is good for the pancreas as honey has many healing qualities and this is especially so with Manuka honey as Manuka honey contains Methylglyoxal which's a very powerful antibacterial agent and is what makes Manuka honey special as all honeys have antibacterial qualities

Recent report on controlling high insulin levels.
Findings published in a new report in the British Medical Journal shows that the sweetner Allulose significantly reduces glucose and insulin levels following sugar consumption. https://drc.bmj.com/content/9/1/e001939

Natural vs Artificial Sweeteners
Xylitol, erythritol, corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup can be all made from corn. While corn is admittedly sweet, it doesn't taste sugary. It takes a lot of processing to turn it into this very sweet substances. My puzzle is, why are the first two regarded as artificial and the latter two, natural

Cancelled cycle
I've just had my second cycle cancelled due to poor response- I have very low amh. If anyone else has experienced this how long after stopping injections did it take to have a withdrawal bleed? I feel horribly bloated. Thanks
