Hi , I was showing as AF repeatedly everyday and had loads of tests etc at cardio dept , one of the consultants mentioned my glucose level was showing high at 10 so I’m booked Monday for test for that ………
But over the last few weeks I’ve really kept an eye on my eating and maybe a coincidence but my heart has settled down , I’m not advocating a miracle cure etc but I just think every little helps and it might help someone out there ❤️

Without doubt there is a connection with what you eat, your gut micro biome & all sorts of diseases including Diebeyes & AF. Trouble is getting informed & reliable advise.
Very general but avoid all ultra processed foods especially sugary & starchy foods eg: anything in packet labeled low fat or ‘healthy’.
Limit processed foods.
Cook & eat fresh, good quality foods.
Listen to your gut & keep a food/symptom diary - this can help identify foods which can cause you problems.
As everyone is very different it’s really hard to be specific for everyone but eating smaller meals and limiting food intake to within a 8-10 hour period really helps.
Small meals works for me too. Pick high protein food but in a smaller portion then fill plate with non bulky salad or veg. Don’t sit or lie down for at least an hour after meals. Go for a walk if possible. It’s the close relationship of the Vagus nerve with the heart… it’s easily irritated by a full stomach.
I feel I need to sit after eating dinner but not after lunch and breakfast. It's odd but I can walk about happily after these meals and at the moment am doing what I call my walking practice with the sticks ( for moving about from room to room I still have to use the walking frame till 6 weeks after my op) after breakfast and lunch. But if I try to do that after dinner I feel very uncomfortable.
