Recent report on controlling high insulin levels.
Findings published in a new report in the British Medical Journal shows that the sweetner Allulose significantly reduces glucose and insulin levels following sugar consumption. https://drc.bmj.com/content/9/1/e001939

Advice on vitamins / minerals
Sunday night I was awakened by the muscles of my left calf in spasm. I then realized I needed to go to the bathroom, but when I tried to put weight on that leg and pain was intense. Since I have had this before (but never as bad as this one) I keep a spray bottle of Theraworx Relief next to my bed.

Blood Tests a Bit Alarming
Glucose. 225. Iāve never been diabetic A1c. 6.1 Neutrophils elevated White blood cells slightly elevated. Iāve only been on pred about 6 weeks. If my sugar has gone up this much this early, what does that mean if Iām on it a long time?

Natural vs Artificial Sweeteners
Xylitol, erythritol, corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup can be all made from corn. While corn is admittedly sweet, it doesn't taste sugary. It takes a lot of processing to turn it into this very sweet substances. My puzzle is, why are the first two regarded as artificial and the latter two, natural

Data driven fasting

It's basically using a blood glucose (fingerprick) meter to learn when when are really hungry and gradually

The ketogenic diet as part of treating NHL: anyone here has experiences with this ?
I am very interested in the approach of cancer as a metabolic disease instead of a genetic one (ref. Dr Thomas Seyfried). He advocates, as part of treatment, to use a ketogenic diet, which helps to 'starve' the glucose and glutamine levels in ones body: the very fuel cancer cells is feeding on. It would

SGLT2 new treatment for CDK; anyone on them?
I was listen to a Dr. in a podcast regarding new treatment for CDK. Even though these sodium inhibitors are used for heart patience and diabetics, they are showing promising results for non-diabetics with CKD and proteinuria. "Despite optimal treatment with renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system (RAAS

How do you deal with fluctuating blood sugar?
This is more a continuation of a conversation Dee & LeopardGecko had regarding fluctuating sugar and figuring out how to control it. I often have crazy blood sugar. Because of pancreatitis, diabetes, and gastroparesis, my sugars bounce, sometimes rapidly. Because of my slow-moving stomach, I can't

Anybody Taking MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)?
It's been 2 months since I wrote about Methylsulfonylmethane so I am raising the topic again. I have finally worked it into my stack every day (1/4 teaspoon full in 5 ounces of water). It just looks like it supports all the things PwP would be looking to improve (I have a high school degree): 2.1. Anti-Inflammation

A breakthrough-like effect of metformin reduces peripheral resistance to triiodothyronine in euthyroid, non-insulin-resistant, T2 diabetes
My main aim here is to identify to anyone interested that metformin appears to have an impact of T3 levels. Whether the hypotheses of the paper make any sense of that observation is, I fear, rather more questionable. (Though I accept is was very much acknowledged to be a pilot study.) [i]

Useful write by an unknown lady saved in my system long back and forgotten by me!
As an addict of reading materials on health, this article I had saved but forgot it. After joining this group, I deep dived into my computer and found this. Written by a Tamil south Indian lady, few words may be new to a few. I am SHARING, WITH A REQUEST FOR THE READER'S OPINIONS only and not recommending
