Tonsillitis & Decapeptyl injection
Evening all. I keep getting tonsillitis or sore throat & wondering if it’s to do with hormone injections or endo? I eat pretty healthy foods low sugar no dairy, wheat or red meat. I take extra vitamins so really don’t understand why I keep getting this. Anyone with similar experience or advice?

Bowel blockage
Hello ladies, I'm so scared right now, my mum is having a reoccurance after 6 years in remission, she has been quite unwell since March, this last month her ca125 shot up to 600, she has been hardly able to eat, she has constant bowel problems which have finally reached to her being admitted to hospital

Concerned about Dental Treatment - WPW Syndrome
Hi all, I hope everyone is safe and well during the current situation. I'm wondering if anyone can offer me some advice on how dental treatment is performed (At least for them) for those of us who have arrythmia's (Particularly anyone else who has wolf-parkinsson white syndrome) I have unfortunately

Had surgery on June 22nd and I have stage 4 OC that doc described as aggressive
I asked doc if this a situation for palliative care and she responded that she wants to cure me. She said the OC has not invaded my bladder, but it was growing on the outside and she scraped the cancer cells off. She also examined the length of my colon and scraped off the cancer cells on the outside

End of life
Hey guys it seems as my posts here will be short and sweet as my patient has been seen by his palliative care dr and been prescribed end of life medication. It fills me with sadness to know that there is nothing else left to do, I am so glad I have met my new friend and that for the past 7 months we

Pulmonary Fibrosis, irreversible and terminal,
I was diagnosed 12 March 2020, when lung function hadn't improved after recent bacterial infection. My lungs were already, very scarred, so this infection was the tipping point. Question is, as it is a unpleasant way to die, and already discussed with my GP, palliative care, it will get more painful

Why liver patients have such a hard time
I wanted to write this last night but I fell asleep. Nothing unusual there then!!!! In the last 2-3 years I have ‘visited’ one Consultant or another about some of my symptoms. The most valuable lesson I have learned, from so doing, is that the Liver Medical fraternity themselves are unable to fully

Procedure
I had a procedure done 3 days ago it was rubber band ligation for hemorrhoids. Has anyone on here ever had this done? I am wanting to see if everything went back to normal in that area because I’m getting super impatient lol I know it will take a little bit but I went through a rough time before I had

Shorty864 - Anne has lost her last battles
Dear ladies, I am so sorry to have to let you know that Anne, my Ovacome friend from Cornwall, has passed away this Sunday, 21 of June, at her lovely home. After waging many battles, including coming on the train to London with her husband last year for a second opinion from the Royal Marsden, as well

Lingual tonsils
Just wondering has anyone had problems with their lingual tonsils and if so what was your experience with it? What symptoms did you have? How’d you get diagnosed? How long did it take you to get diagnosed? I’m still not 100% on what’s wrong with me but someone has told me that I could have a problem

Dental treatment
Is anyone else suffering from a rotten tooth while halfway through chemo? I would welcome any advice. I am surviving at the moment, trying to stay on Paracetamol with Ibuprofen and codeine for when necessary. The dentist says I must have swelling and a temperature before they will consider seeing me.

Oral thrush and swollen tonsil?
I’ve been struggling with oral thrush for a few weeks now but my nystatin seems to be working well( gums less sore, throat less yellow) I’ve noticed now that the gunk has cleared a little, that my right tonsil looks swollen, has white spots on it and I’ve some discomfort on that side. Also the sensation

AZD4635 with Xtandi
Getting ready to do a clinical trial with AZD4635 and Xtandi. Just checking to see if anyone has did this clinical trial and if so how is it going. Xtandi alone did not work for me so hoping the combination of the two will. The LU 177 was great but I’m about 18 months out from my last treatment and PSA

Struggle with fibre
Hi it seems that any kind of fibrous food sets my IBS off, and fatty foods give me heartburn. Do you think there may be a reason for this? I am taking some probiotics and will take Imodium regularly, although on lockdown haven’t needed to. So really just asking if anyone else is the same and what foods

Sores in nose - chemotherapy
Apart from a runny nose with chemotherapy (Carboplatin/Pemetrexed) I'm also getting sores that are very similar to cold sores - tried betnovate cream, but not much good, then tried Zovirax which is better, but doesn't clear them and still forms scabs that bleed. It can be very sore and painful. Any

uPSA < 0.003 ng/ml PSA: How low should it go?
My last measured test level PSA 0.007ng/ml And radiotherapy still works and can further reduce PSA. Now I take an eligard which also lowers the PSA. I have an idea to start taking Casodex 150 for a double blockade. My goal is to lower uPSA further and reach a level of uPSA <0.003 where the cancer
