Any experiences you may share? Thanks

Dealing with the next chapter.
It’s been a week since we found out that mums treatment wasn’t working. She made the decision that she wouldn’t try a fourth option as it could prove more damaging, especially as she’s feeling relatively well. She’s got slight breathlessness, nothing too bad just noticeable if she walks far or talks

Lung Hyperinflation
Does anyone know what health effects lung hyperinflation on its own can have? I had my lung function test on Friday and was told I have this, it fits with the bullae that I was told about. I’m struggling to find much about it on the internet. Not sure when my appointment with the respiratory consultant

Just needing some validation
My adult son, age 34, suffers with neuro Behcets and has horrible pain. He is on palliative care. He has eye problems, lesions, arthritic pain, balance issues and chronic mouth sores. He is depressed and feels alone. I tried to connect with the Behcets community in the US but it’s not responsive. He

Possible treatment for Acute respiratory distress syndrome in Covid-19
Doctors Tim Rich (Essentia) and David Ingbar (University of Minnesota) have a COVID-19 therapy in Phase 2 trials that might prevent or undo the COVID-19 complication you never want to hear about. Rich and Ingbar autopsied H1N1 victims in 2009 and discovered that the affected lungs lacked T3. T3 reduces

Hashimotos- question
Hi everyone! As I was only 25 when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism I was just wondering if there is anyone on here of similar age when they were diagnosed? I’ve noticed it seems quite uncommon... I am wondering whether my sickness as a child has contributed to this. Had tonsillitis for many years

Behçet’s vs Pyoderma Ulcers
Hi, some time ago I read an article about the difference between ulcers relating Behçet’s and pyoderma gangrenosum ulcers. I may be wrong but I thought it was in an old copy of one of the Behçet’s society’s newsletters. Also, I have at the back of my mind that the article said that you could tell the

Mucus and blood in stool

Another thing that troubled me was the yellow mucus I started seeing constantly. In August I saw some bloody mucus again while straining. I went to the

Sleep problems
I am late stage four kidney disease with a GFR of 20. Recently I have had difficulties sleeping at night and wonder if that is common with people at my stage. If so what do you do about it as it adds to the overall feeling of fatigue. My doctor says I am too old for sleeping pills whatever that means

Dental question
I have to have two teeth extracted and have been told to stop Pred the day before and on the day of the treatment. I’m really confused with this instruction because I also had to have teeth extracted whilst I was on 30mg Pred and the same dentist told me not to change my dosage! Apart from wondering

From ana positive in past to ana negative??
I have always been ana positive in the past and my recent one was negative which puzzled the rheumatologist, as I have been suffering from increased inflammation which showed in my bloods. I have been feeling dreadful and she says it's due to increased lupus activity. Has anyone else had this happen

Brushing first teeth
How do you successfully brush your little ones teeth? My son is 13 months old and has 3 top teeth that have come through well and 2 bottom teeth slowly poking through, but when it comes time to brush his teeth he becomes extremely hysterical! He won't let me near his mouth at all. I am sometimes successful
