I have had a tooth removed after my dentist diagnosed the toothache I had. I think I have read that invasive dental treatment effect heart failure, which I have stage 2/3 mitral regurgitation and aortic stenosis.

Heart Failure effect Dental Infection and Extraction
Hi, they should have given you anti-biotics given your heart condition?
They did give me amoxyicilin and now I am on metronodazile and I take painkillers. but I do worry about my raised blood pressure. The last couple of years or so I've had a few problems with my teeth and I worry that it's not good for my heart failure problem. I do go to the dentist and hyginest every six months.
I also have heart failure, and have had several extractions during that time.
No problems at all, just had to expect more bleeding due to warfarin
Here is the guidance about which heart patients should be offered antibiotics after some types of dental treatment.
Hi, thank you very much for the information and it looks as if i should have had them as I have a heart valve problem. I was given antibiotics afterthe extraction, as the dentist thought this would clear up any chance of further infection, for several days it seemed to be healing nicely but then the pain!! I then had a second antibiotic added in and continue until next week! I have had an extraction last year which was fine and no antibiotics used. I was fine then!
