I am having DBS surgery this fall, but in the meantime, am taking 10 Sinemet 25/100 tabs daily. On/off periods are the norm, so I am considering wearing the patch. Looking for anyone with experience (good/bad) with the patch.. Thanks!!

After titrating to the highest dose I experienced nausea. No discernible improvement so I stopped the neupro patch regimen.

I have used the patch for about 3 years 8mg. The only problem I have is irritation on my skin. Good luck.

Are you cutting the patch into smaller dosages or is that the full patch? Do you supplement with Sinemet tabs? Does the patch help with the peaks and valley problems of Sinemet? Thanks for your input!

It is the full patch. Yes it helps with the highs and Lows of sinemeet. I take 50-200 three times per day.

My husband switched from Rytari to patch about six weeks ago. It's nice because you don't have to be concerned about eating protein, but he is not sleeping as well as he was while taking Rytari. We're not certain if the patch is causing his sleepless nights or if it's just the PD progressing, anyone else who is on the patch having problems with sleeping?

Why would you not be concerned with the protein interference with the patch? It still has to cross the blood barrier. Interesting

Bc when u take a pill, it needs to dissolve in ur stomach

Where the protein is also being broken down
