I've been looking for a forum where I can read other peoples experiences with depression as in my life i have not a single person who truly understands me. I can and do tell my partner everything but it is just not the same, he doesn't get it or never will. I am sick of being told 'only you can help

Hi All. I have been diaognoised with Fibro and went to the pain clinic, they have suggested that my GP puts me on Tapentadol or Duloxetine
anyone had either of these and if so what side effects did you suffer. Any help would be very helpful. Thanks.

Why would i need to see an orthoptist?
Hi i went to see an ophthalmologist earlier & after him dilating my pupils & looking into my eyes he promptly said i needed to see an orthoptist urgently? He didnt say what he saw or what was wrong. I have a rathkes cleft & pituitary microadenoma ( which endocrinologist says are incidental findings

Hi, I have viewed this forum but never posted, so hello!I have a long history ( over 20 years) of panic disorders combined with OCD that began in my late teens ( I shan't go into details here) and have been on Paroxetine for over 15 years ( currently on 50mg) BUT I am still 'trapped' by my anxieties

Nerve endo, sharp tazer-like pain that shoots down inside of mid thigh??
Has anyone here also experienced this? Had my first lap for excision on Endo on 28th Feb this year and feel like its starting to show its face again as I was also told of the high possibility there would be microscopic lesions still around but invisible to treat at the time. The endo was found on both

I have PGAD along with my PN type symptoms. How do I cope???? Drugs, TENS and magnesium.
At the moment I feel lost at sea with all this, and I am finding it very hard to function mentally I just feel panicked by it all. I don't think it helps that I am perimeno, but this constant feeling of arouseal is on the verge of having me admitted to a physciatric ward. I have been prescribed Amatrpityline

Hi, I am new to the site. I had 4 operations for oesophageal cancer 5 years ago, including two thoracotomy ops. This left me with chronic post surgical neuropathic pain. Like you, I take paracetamol and codeine 3 or 4 x daily. However I also take Duloxetine, a more modern drug than Amitrypteline, which

Today
I've done cold turkey since coming off many pills to go on duloxetine in January/February/March. Anyway today I got into a pair of trousers that are two sizes down from what I was in January. My flabber was gasted.

What could be causing my pain?
I'm in so much pain again today that it has completely consumed me and made me unable to concentrate on anything. It seems to be around right hip bursa and gluteus tendons which I put down to my hypermobility syndrome and previous hip surgery...but added to that is awful sickening pain around the sacroiliac

Doctor has refused pain meds.
I phoned my GP yesterday to order my medication; Gabapentin, Cocodomol, Tramadol, Paracetomol, Duloxetine & Severdol. Got a phone call today from receptionist saying that the GP wouldn't prescribe Paracetomol as not meant to take it with Cocodomol, which I didn't as it was for good days when I was able
