Hi not much fun is it! Have you been taking ropinarole for long and do you have to keep increasing the dose? Do you find that symptoms come on earlier in the day? Also duloxetine can make restless legs much worse.

Yeah been on it for years. I heard that duloxetene making it worse. Really fed up as the pain comes on almost all the time i try and rest. I use to find sleeping on the floor helped. Starting to hallucinate now. Just want a nights peaceful sleep. Just want to cry :-(

6mg is a pretty high dose for disobedience you tried the anti seizure medications. If you take a look at rlshelp.org there is great information on the various medications.

Look up side effects for ropinerole. I think hallucinations can be a side effect. Do you take the 6mg dose all at once.It really is too high for rls. Look up the site I mentioned. Go print off the options for meds and take to your Dr for discussion.

Are you going walkabout. Fill a bucket with icy water, as cold as possible, put your feet and legs in, and skeep them there for about 15 mintues, splashing the water up to your knees.

It takes about 15 to 20 minures to work and gave me just enough time to get to sleep.

Also try lying on your tummy with knees bent and feet in the air.

Or lying on your back on the floor with feet up against the wall and keep pushing. Must eventually get enough relief to lie down long enough to sleep.

You need to come off ropinarole it is causing augmentation, This is where the meds makes the restless legs worse. The same thing happened to me.You need to wean off slowly as the withdrawal sends legs crazy, You need help from your doctor to fo this, I am using tramadol and pregablin to wean off mirapexin which is amother dopamine anogist same as ropinarole.I founf once I got to half my original dose my legs actually improved. Make an appt today.Ask to be sent to a neurologist if you haven't already. Many GPs dont know enough about rls.You may even need stronger drugs to get you off ropinarole. You will not improve until you get off it, Each time you increase the dose it helps for a short time but I thr long run it makes it worse.Whats your doctor like? I find a hot bath rather than cold helps me.Good luck keep in touch....kim x

Are you using the Slow Release Ripinerole. I take 8mg slow release at 1pm and so far find it better.
