Itchy outer ears and warm feeling

It’s been two weeks and I am having this terrible outer ears itch and warmth is coming out from them. It’s started on one then second also got affected. Slowly the crawling feeling under the scalp came back after 10 months. I got myself checked for head lice but none present. Now I have itching on back of the neck, legs and arms and pins and needles on the face. Tender ankles. I am using cortisone cream for the itch. Tried allergy meds but not much help. Is there anyone who is having these symptoms. Are there common with PBC? I am on urso. My liver function tests came out like last time nearly in range.

My LFTs are nearly in range but the itch is ever present. I am medicated with cholestyramine rifampicin and sertraline which enables me to cope. I also use a 2 percent menthol derma cream and when desperate revert to ice. Antihistamine worked briefly before specialist prescription.

Good Morning....Itching has to be one of the worse conditions under the sun. What prompted me to reply is the described location of your malady. For me, itchy ears, scalp and facial sensations of pins and needles were the first signs of an allergic reaction to something. In my case it was the URSO itself. The other times when i've had itchy inner ears ( not sure where you itch is centered), a holistic doctor said it was parasites. So, I'm wondering how long you have been taking Urso. As far as relief, if you search the topic here, you'll have many recommendations from several of us. Let us know how this plays out for you. Be well.

Thanks. I am on Urso for nearly seven ears now. I tried a lot of things at home for this itchy scalp and outer ears. Yesterday, I took 1/2 tsp turmeric in hot water on empty stomach and by afternoon, the itch and crawling feeling seemed have gone away. But again I am not too sure as I have been trying all sorts of things.

Look up "erythromelalgia." I have all of that too, and that's what I was told it is.
