CBD oil - is it suitable for pain relief for oesteoarthritis when you take any anticoagulant?
Reading about CBD oil claims for pain relief, been on anticoagulants for decades. Struggling with pain in the knees caused by wear and tear, surgery looks like it may be on the cards. As long term warfarin and now Doac user, I have never taken anti -inflammatories or been offered cortisone type injections

Severe itching after kidney transplant
I had my transplant last month and I had two blood transfusions. One bag the first time then two bags the second time. I’m not sure if it’s the medications but I have had full body itching since I left the hospital. My doctors tried benedryl, Zyrtec, hydroxyzine pamoat and I have put anything from cortisone

Cortisone shots
Hi, this is my first post and it's not urgent. My rheumatologist is recommending cortisone shots when we get together finally later in this pandemic. Do they hurt? Does the pain last a long time? How long does the relief last? Thank you

24 h saliva results - comments please
I just got results back for my 24 saliva test ordered from Genova Diagnostics. I was treated last year with high doses of cortisone for autoimmune encephalitis and have been having strange symptoms since weaning off it; I suspected my cortisol levels to be lowish but the opposite turned out to be true

New member...questions about hashimotos and autoimmune encephalitis
New member, in Belgium. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2002 based on the following labs: TSH 19.4 mUI/L (0.35-4.5) FT4 0.41 ng/dL (0.7-1.5) anti-TPO UI/mL 6011 (<11) anti-TG 411 UI/mL (<4) No FT3 tested at the time as doctor said it was "useless". I was put on 50 mcg of Euthyrox and worked my way

As guess, what condition (s) do you think I have? Random and general, but might strike accord with someone. Thanks
Left leg: ankle hot, pain and tight (constantly) - been this way several years. Same leg: foot: top two inch hot band and pain as if bruised - 80% of the time, resting or not - from middle of instep and all the way over; like a tight band. Also tingles as if being stabbed by tin needles (all the time

Lymphoedema and Covid19
This email was sent out by the Wittlinger Therapy Centre, Austria, earlier today - it explains a lot in an easy to read way: Dear patients! Since we have received more requests in the past few days about whether people with lymphoedema disease have an increased risk of COVID 19 infection, we have summarized

Hi , are we all a risk group or it depends how severe our problems are? I haven’t received a text or letter from the NHS yet . I’m on cortisone tablets 30 mg for 4 weeks ( this is my 3 week) after that I’m guessing I should start to decrease. My appointment for checking muscle and nerves reaction has

My Story with pmr/GCA - Ragnar (Sweden)
Not very often a person writes about a successful tapering, so I decided to post my story. When PMRpro describes the DSNS method of tapering prednisone, she writes about a Swedish gentleman who found out a tapering method, which PMRpro et al developed further into the DSNS method. That Swedish gentleman
