Cortisone shot side effect
On December 3 I receive a cortisone shot for my eczema. The doctor mentioned spotting as a side effect. On the 14th I got my period and it lasted 13 days!! I spotted on and off after and now I just got what feels like my period! Cramping and medium flow. I wasn’t scheduled to get it till Monday. Dr said

Effects of long term cortisone treatment
Does anyone know if there is any science about what happens in the body during and after longterm use of Pred? Is there any articles to read? My body is stiff and I have had a frozen shoulder and aching lower back since I stopped my treatment in April. I had a quite severe accident at work in January

Richter’s Transformation
Hello family. I hope everybody is fine. I feel good, the only thing is the joints that are destroying me with the treatments. My knees hurt a lot. On the other hand, I would like to comment on the cases that Ricther is entering within the Facebook group. Every day we are more, with what we are more cases

How long do Cortisone injections last?
I got mine last week in both soulders but last night and today I can feel the usual pains in the front of my shoulders when I lift even the kettle to make a cuppa. I thought they would last like at least 3 months....

Some advice please ...
Once again I’m not sure what is going on. I’m still on the tocilizumab journey but only having it fortnightly due to low white cell count. This hasn’t seemed to impact on my tapering over the past few months. It has taken me 8 weeks to get from 5mgs to 4mgs, alternating 4.5 along the way. I have

Problems with artheritis after long cortisone treatment?
I am in remission since April, so happy to get out on the other side of this journey. I am experiencing something that I think is the start of artheritis in my left knee. I can’t straighten it easily and lean on it in the mornings. During my time on Pred I got artheritis in my left hip. I wonder if someone

Pudendal nerve block injection.
Has anyone had a pudendal nerve block injection with cortisone? I am due to have one but no doctor/physio has given me a diagnosis of my pelvic pain, so I don't know why I have pain. I am very nervous about having the procedure in case it makes the pain worse.

Cortisone injection
I had a steroid injection in my knee today which was very painful to say the least! It hasn’t started to work yet but the doctor said it could take a few hours or overnight to start working. If anyone here has had the injection can you let me know if it helped and how long it lasted. I don’t mind

Loneliness
I’m not sure I can cope with this situation any longer, during covid ,lupus flared up , the appointments were only by phone just prescribed cortisone, I did put 10 kg on ( over 1 st) and I don’t feel any better , infacts worst . Finally I’ll see the specialist on Wednesday, hopefully he’ll take me off

Dermatitis and Cortisone
My wife, 68, was diagnosed with PD seven years ago. In the forty years we've been together, she's had outbreaks of dermatitis, often on the back of her neck, and treated it with topical cortisone. Is dermatitis very common with Parkinson's and could there be a link between PD and cortisone treatments

Surgery after knee replacement
I was diagnosed with PV 3-17 and only doing baby aspirin with occasional phlebotomy. I had right knee replacement done 3-19 and have a lot of swelling on the top part of knee but not the bottom. My new orthopedic has done a round of medication for swelling and on last visit did (very hesitantly) a Cortisone

A little positivity ...
Hello Everyone, I thought I’d share my recent experience of having a needle injected into my shoulder joint. It’s been an ongoing sage with my Rheumatologist convinced it was bursitis and giving me two cortisone needles into the bursa on two occasions, each only working for 2 blissful weeks. I explained
