Suspected Cushing's: High cortisol levels on saliva test, now low cortisol after 8 months on Levothyroxine. Can this happen with Cushing's?
Hi all. For a number of years I've been increasingly ill and earlier this year a doctor suggested I be checked for Cushing's as I have many of the primary symptoms, including huge weight gain around my stomach (despite genuinely eating little food due to nausea), the stria (reddish purple stretch marks

Ruxolitinib & GvHD
I've been on higher doses of
cortisone
the last month or so to get over a chronic GvHD in my liver, after initial improvement things have regressed, my consultant is seriously considering replacing the corticoid by Jakavi (Ruxolitinib).

Please Help
Good afternoon I'm very new to this site and was wondering if I could possibly get some help with my test results? I am exhausted, physically and mentally - the slightest bit of exercise almost kills me and my ankles swell just from going out for a walk! Like everyone I am struggling with my weight,

Hypothyroid: High cortisol tests, cannot explain, but coincide with high thyroid labs, on new NDT brand this year
Originally, almost 2 years ago, I was diagnosed hypothyroid and had low hormones right across the board, including low cortisol all day. Recently, after some time stable and optimal, my thyroid FT3 and FT4 were over range, so I have been reducing my WP Thyroid which I started this year. I just did saliva

Is it anxiety, certain deficiencies, an illness or something completely else..?
Hello everyone, for the past few days I've been googling, visiting doctors and doing checkups and I am already SO fed up. Every single day I am like this - so tired I can't even sit up at times, dizzy, depersonalized, derealised, confused. I visited my doctor two days ago - she was sarcastic and nasty

I would like to share with you my story.
All my life I was thin, until I had a pituitary tumor, I was put on hydro
cortisone
tablets which was at a high dose, and my weight shot up, any and little confidence I had just disappeared, I gave up on everything, leading to depression.

Adrenal questions
Help on lab results. I have finally gotten my thyroid under control but I'm still having some ackward symptoms. Due to adrenals I'm sure. My saliva test confirms that I have low cortisol and my temps are still marginally low. My labs are as follows. Morning 5.4 range .9 to 9.5 Noon .73 range .6

Low cortisol, again.
I did saliva test same time than had my thyroid tested. Low again. My TSH was 2.51 (0.4-4) and T4 11 (10-21). Test I never got,but filed a complaint and hope for re-test. The thing is ,I dont understand what is going on. I had thyroid panel done on June 2016 and based on the results i was recommended

Severe Depression with TSH at 4.02
I am so grateful for the posts this week helping with my own hypothyroidism diagnosis. I have also been caring for my poor dad who has had severe depression/anxiety for almost 2 years now. This followed prostate cancer scares and almost losing him to a hospital bug 3 years ago so he has had a rough

Second time lucky - facet injections.
Finally plucked up the courage to have them done again as the facets improved after
cortisone
shots , it was the ligaments around them that didn't cope. Had them done again in June 16 and touch wood they feel great.

New to here, confused and frustrated
Saw rheumatologist in May, had knee drained and
cortisone
injection (which made a massive difference at the time but is now wearing off). Had systemic
cortisone
injection on wednesday to try to get rid of pain in chest and upper back but it's not worked.... Only on Diclofenac at moment.

Back freezing
A new "sports medicine" doctor has suggested I get a needle, in my lower back, for bulging disc, and she told me to think it over, I stupidly did not ask "what is freezing" I have had
cortisone
needles and most of the time they work,,,but not always.

Serum cortisol result anyone understand these results?
Hi,I had my first endo appointment two weeks ago. She tested my cortisol and said she could guarantee it would be low and that I had adrenal fatigue. I have just had my results but I don't know what they mean as I don't go back for three months. Does this mean I am ok? Thanks
