Cortisone

I have a bad knee and have received one cortisone shot last summer. Does anyone know if this is safe with PBC. I have ortho appointment tomorrow and wonder if it’s safe to get another cortisone shot. Thanks.

At the beginning I was given a cortisone spray for asthma and at some point a cortisone ointment for the dermatitis. My odyssey began with the cortisone ointment because it made my dermatitis extremely worse instead of better.

Could the cortisone shot have affected anything? I might have been having a flare before all this as I’ve had pain in that ankle before from a beginning flare. I’m still foggy and misplacing things this morning. Here in the US our medical system is a mess.

Over the last month I've had a lot of pain from my right shoulder. My physio has treated it with massage and ultrasound several times without much success and said I'd probably benefit from a steroid injection, so I've made an appointment to have this done at my GP surgery. I am currently on 4mg of pred

I have a call into my oncologist to see if there are any treatments stronger than cortisone ointment and antihistamine. My question is if anyone has dealt with this and has helpful advice. I am certainly praying this does not last the whole treatment or spread further.

On Feb. 4, I had a cortisone shot in left hip. GP though it was bursitis, but it could have been PMR flare. Extremely tender to the touch. Who knows because she would only go by CRP and that is 1.52. This is going to be long folks.

I am 48 hours post cortisone injection and I'm still having a lot of deep aching pain mainly at night. Hoping it improves in time. Do any of you have experience with Hashimoto's and getting a cortisone injection for bursitis pain? Is there something special I should be doing for my recovery?

I have a dear friend who doesn’t have an Mpn but is losing her hair in patches ( due to stress she thinks - husband has advanced Parkinson’s) She’s tried cortisone liquid to no avail. Has anyone found a cure for hair loss? Thanks so much Louise

I use cortisone cream or coconut oil. The test showed i have no allergy’s! Recently i increased my vitamin D dose to help alleviate my tiredness! Anyone else feel tired? I have a well maintained weight of 107lbs & exercise regularly! My last thyroid labs were normal range! Thanks

CRP - 2.8 (0.0'5.0 mg/l) Waking salivary cortisone in October 2024 results is 35.7 (not sure of range here?) Thank you 😊

If it doesn’t work cortisone injections Quite honestly I’m happy to try anything as I need my mobility stuck up this mountain in the snow and getting logs in . It does seem yo be helping so I guess my question yo you guys is have any of you been told this ?

Her last spiro results were not good and her consultant suggested a course of cortisone to help v=clear the lungs. In the past shhe has tried many different products ranging from Seebri which cleared her lungs but dried everything else up as well, including eyes and nose.

Each of these can be serious enough to significantly disturb my sleep 3-4 nights in 14 days and require ongoing doctor visits and ongoing cortisone treatments for the eye issues and eczema. My rheumatologist thinks the Cimzia isn't quite doing the job and we are contemplating a change of biologic.

I got a call from hospital today to say that they can offer me antivirals as I’ve had cortisone and depo and I’m at day 5 of symptoms as apparently these injections lower your immunity ? ( not on RA drugs yet ). Anyone come across this? Must say excellent service from NHS . Thanks in advance ☺️

Had some cortisone shots which as everyone knows helps for awhile. I do have large neuromas in each foot pad and perhaps can account for toes but no one commits to that. Toe nerve pain yes but not numbness they say which I think is weird.

My arm is still really sore and I'm not sure whether to try a cortisone cream on it or perhaps calamine cream? I take an anti histamine daily.

I injured my hand about 18 months ago in a fall and it hadn't got better after a Cortisone injection so had an ultrasound which showed inflammation in 4 joints so was referred. Plus I've got back pain and knee pain and I've been feeling exhausted for years so it's good to have a reason for this.
