Cortisone

At the beginning I was given a cortisone spray for asthma and at some point a cortisone ointment for the dermatitis. My odyssey began with the cortisone ointment because it made my dermatitis extremely worse instead of better.

I am 48 hours post cortisone injection and I'm still having a lot of deep aching pain mainly at night. Hoping it improves in time. Do any of you have experience with Hashimoto's and getting a cortisone injection for bursitis pain? Is there something special I should be doing for my recovery?

Has anyone been on cortisone for that long? Did it have many effects? Was weaning off very complicated? Thank you very much

I have a dear friend who doesn’t have an Mpn but is losing her hair in patches ( due to stress she thinks - husband has advanced Parkinson’s) She’s tried cortisone liquid to no avail. Has anyone found a cure for hair loss? Thanks so much Louise

I still haven't figured out if it's related to the venetoclax or the cortisone I'm taking because of my kidneys. Thank you and kind regards.

I got a call from hospital today to say that they can offer me antivirals as I’ve had cortisone and depo and I’m at day 5 of symptoms as apparently these injections lower your immunity ? ( not on RA drugs yet ). Anyone come across this? Must say excellent service from NHS . Thanks in advance ☺️

I use cortisone cream or coconut oil. The test showed i have no allergy’s! Recently i increased my vitamin D dose to help alleviate my tiredness! Anyone else feel tired? I have a well maintained weight of 107lbs & exercise regularly! My last thyroid labs were normal range! Thanks

Still on cortisone after 6 years now 6.25 mg. But my slow tapering doesn’t seem to affect my lumbar pain and stiffness. Does anyone else here suffer from this condition??

My arm is still really sore and I'm not sure whether to try a cortisone cream on it or perhaps calamine cream? I take an anti histamine daily.

Anyone have experience and/or advice?

Has anyone on here done this and how did you feel on the cortisone. Currently I get fatigued and have a lot of tingling in my face head hands and feet. 24/7 but worse when I'm fatigued. Otherwise I'm great and able to get on with life!

I had to have 5 cortisone injections into my ankle and metasal due to arthritis. I’ve noticed that since I had them my heart rate really drops. I’m 70 yrs old but noticed my resting heart rate drops to 44 - 56. It does rise during day. I had this before in February when I had a nerve block done.

Knee aspirated and 25ml taken and had cortisone. I was genuinely expecting my knee to have deflated but I measured it when I got home and it’s still 40cm , maybe I’m expecting too much 🙄😁.

Went to St Luke's yesterday was in and out. First attempt missed. Second didn't really hurt just more intense pressure.The Dr was very nice and friendly. It was difficult to get to the hospital and parking. We just got lucky. I'm sore today but I have bursitis anyway.. I would recommend the procedure

Her last spiro results were not good and her consultant suggested a course of cortisone to help v=clear the lungs. In the past shhe has tried many different products ranging from Seebri which cleared her lungs but dried everything else up as well, including eyes and nose.

Each of these can be serious enough to significantly disturb my sleep 3-4 nights in 14 days and require ongoing doctor visits and ongoing cortisone treatments for the eye issues and eczema. My rheumatologist thinks the Cimzia isn't quite doing the job and we are contemplating a change of biologic.

I was given cortisone shot into knee and depo medrol into bum cheek last week.

But I also recall that 2 days prior to the clot pain starting, I had a cortisone injection (double dose) in the shoulder of that same arm. All of my health professionals have assured me that an injection in the shoulder cannot cause a clot in the hand.

I suppose they will go through the same process anyway with physiotherapy, cortisone etc before putting me on a waiting list. Any tips or advice to get me through the operation and recovery would be much appreciated.

I'm a 69 year old man with DDD and Arthritis and I had a cortisone injection in my SI joint about 6 weeks ago and it took care of about 50% of the pain.
