Seeking Guidance on Obtaining UKAS Accredited Blood Test Reports for IVF
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I recently initiated my IVF journey at a private clinic and am exploring the possibility of utilising my NHS blood test results to avoid unnecessary expenses. Unfortunately, the private clinic requires specific details, including confirmation of UKAS accreditation

Early Pregnancy & Hashimoto
I have just had my first ever positive HPT after 5 years of TTC and 2 failed IVF cycles. I have calculated that I am approximately 6 weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with hashimoto Thyroditis roughly 2 years ago and have been on 100mcg levothyroxine since. My last bloods came back normal in early November

how long did you have to wait for cycle review apt?
I rang my clinic on 20/11 to advise AF had arrived and was told I would be put forward for a review. Ten days later after hearing nothing I chased it up… I was told I’m 18th in the queue for a review and it may be several weeks. I asked for further clarification on dates and received a call yesterday

Ivf loss - due to lack of TSH/ Hypothyroidism monitoring? Any advice appreciated :)
Hello all, very useful & supportive group this! :) thanks in advance for any thoughts.. My partner has hypothyroidism, and takes levothyroxine for it. She had 1st ever IVF transfer (frozen) in November, which became positive but sadly didn’t get past 4 weeks. Out of curiosity, she asked her GP to test

IVF Wales NHS
Hi all! I just wondered if there's anyone else out there waiting for IVF in Wales through the NHS? We've been on the waiting list since July 2023 and I've read it can take a minimum of 12 months just for an initial consultation! I've been really struggling the last few months, I feel quite guilty as

Vitamin A - retinol.
Dr. John Campbell posted a video about how low vitamin A (retinol) levels predispose a person to experience pneumonia from the Mycoplasm pneumoniae which is currently at near epidemic levels among children in northern China. No surprise here to be honest considering the severe lockdowns. Children have

feeling guilty for breaking my no drinking
Ivf happening in January. I’ve been so good for months and months, no alcohol, fertility diet, supplements, yoga, accupuncture - the lot. It was husbands birthday and he organised a big get together with friends. We both got absolutely drunk, I’d kind of figured before hand there was absolutely no

IVF and exercise
I was just wondering if anyone had been given specific advice on exercise while having IVF. I feel like my doctor is a bit vague every time I ask . I’m 33 and usually exercise 3-5 times a week, either HIT or weight training and have done so for years ( a CrossFit style gym). I stopped for the egg retrieval

Sensitive : BFP rainbow baby
I was in two minds if to write this post as I know how difficult it is to read these updates if you are still struggling. and the fact that I am still in shock at a positive result. But I would also like to share a story of hope. So some of you will know my history, we had success on our second ICSI

Coffee and 2WW
Good morning all, I'm desperately craving a coffee this morning! My transfer was last Monday and I've been drinking herbal teas mostly since but really want a coffee!! I know the IVF clinic's advice is to minimize caffeine/ no caffeine during 2WW but I would love to know what everyone else is doing/

Cyclogest - 3 times a day?
Hi all - just having my first round of IVF and had my egg collection today; 8 mature eggs which isn’t a bad number I don’t think. As I’m waiting to hear whether any fertilised, they’ve told me to start taking the cyclogest 400mg pessaries 3 times a day. This sounded like a lot to me at the time, and

Progesterone levels
Hi all, I wondered if anyone out there knew much about progesterone levels? I had mine tested back in August which on day 20 were 31.8nmol/L. I've googled and anything over 30 suggests that you did ovulate with a mature egg but I was wondering if they were on the slightly lower side of normal? Or am
