Pain Relief
Hi all Can “anyone” offer me some advice as I’m at the “end of my tether” with pain! I’ve had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair. I’ve had a Shoulder Rotator Cuff Repair. I’ve had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis which unfortunately failed and is now worse than before the Surgery! I

spinal cord stimulator side effects
I wanted to know has anyone experienced itching skin ( mine is on my shoulder blades) following having a spinal cord stimulator fitted. I had mine fitted in 2018 and for some years now both my shoulder blades itch nearly all the time and drive me crazy, there is no rash or sign of anything on the skin

Possible Outcome of Severe Spinal Stenosis
I had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis which initially worked but has now failed and is worse than before. I had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair and have now been diagnosed with heart failure so I’m not able to take any of the normal pain relief medication. I was referred to the Pain

44 year old considering donor egg for second baby
Hello Fertility community. I am curious on perspectives/experiences/considerations around using a donor egg to have a second child. I have heard great things about using donor eggs to start/build a family. My background: My husband and I conceived our first child when I was 38 years old when we first

Taking a Break - hormones or not? (Donation)
hi everyone, we’ve decided to take a break from IVF but plan to a transfer our last embryo around October. We have had 7 transfers in last 2 and half years and whilst it’s really hard to take a break…its best to give my body and mind a rest. Our Dr initially advised to keep taking the Pill but then

Dundee ivf help
Hi all I have been to my first appointment at Dundee ACU today and had a baseline scan and amh bloods taken for ivf. I am self funding with donor sperm. Just wondered if anyone can share their Dundee journey with me and let me know how long after this appointment did it take to start treatment? Private

Failed IVF - Irregular periods after?
I had an unsuccessful round of ivf in April. I only got to egg collection and no further. My period arrived 2 weeks after this, so normal enough. However, since then nothing. I was always pretty regular at 27-29 days. I am now at day 45 and honestly don't feel like it is coming anytime soon! I am

Starting IVF injections on day 4 of cycle instead of day 2/3?
I'm starting my first round of IVF, and was told that I need to start my injections on day 2 or 3 of my cycle. The clinic initially told me that if I started my period on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning that I'd start my injections on Monday. However, I started my period late on the Sunday afternoon

secondary infertility deciding when to stop
So I’m very lucky to already have the most wonderful child ! We’ve been trying to have another baby for over 2 years. I’ve had failed IUIs and then did a round of IVF where I had x4 embryos at day five which I was told were all ‘good’. Anyway none of them stuck x3 negatives and I had x1 chemical pregnancy

Menopur Day 3
Hi everyone, Been reading some of your posts and finding comfort in not being as alone as I feel. Feel like it can’t be connected as only on day 3 but I keep getting so emotional and tearing up. It’s maybe just how real things feel now doing first round of IVF. Any tips to stay calm and less anxious

Vaginal cramps at 11 weeks
First time posting on here as I was determined to be positive and enjoy my pregnancy and not worry until there was something to really worry about. But now I’m worrying 😢😢 I am 11+2 today, and for the past few days I’ve been getting, on and off cramps that are worrying me. They feel like period cramps

**Sensitive** New arrival
Firstly I hope this post doesn’t upset anyone, I’ve been in that position and chosen many a time not to open these. After a very quick labour and terrifying emergency section, my lucky egg arrived yesterday morning. We chose not to find out the sex (we didnt care either way!), and despite being convinced

TW *mentions successful pregnancy ** Sibling round question
Trigger Warning: mention of successful pregnancy. Hi there, I’m sorry if this is a tough post for some as I realise how lucky we are to have a child. I had a round of ICSI 2019 (male factor) and had 4 embryos on day 5, transferred 1 fresh - failed, 2nd transfer - a FET failed and 3rd transfer success

Placenta: grade 2 at 28 weeks
Hey lovelies, Just looking for some reassurance & others experience. Conceived through IVF with DE, diagnosed with low PAPP-A at 12 weeks - the little bean is now 28 weeks and at the growth scan yesterday we saw him head down, wiggling away & not so little at 1kg 🥰 The sonographer commented that he

IVF weight gain
Hi lovelies - did any of you gain weight when doing your cycles? I had my first cycle in January then my second in March. I've gained approx 5lbs & struggling to get it off. I'm starting meds for my FET in 5 weeks time so was hoping I would have had it off by then but it's hard going.
