My pvc burden has dropped but is it enough ?
I think your numbers are a little squiff. If 1% of beats a day was 10k, your average heart rate would be in excess of 700bpm. If you averaged 80bpm for 24 hours, your total number of beats a day would be 115,200, so 10k ectopics would be closer to a 10% burden.
Whilst there will be exceptions depending on other factors, including any other heart or relevant health conditions, the figures I’ve seen suggest that any burden under 10% a day is generally considered to be ok. Whilst it’s very rare, in the papers I’ve read, developing problems as a result of ectopics is considered a particular risk between 10 and 25%. My understanding is that a burden higher than 25% would be a big problem generally.
I have had a recent completely normal echocardiogram and have no other known heart issues
From random research I’ve done on PACs, a 10-20% burden is seen as problematic (roughly 10-20,000 errant beats/day). PVCs may have a lower thresh hold. In any case, it may come down to what you are willing to live with.
